Looks like the helpfully hardware man is going to get more of my money.
Speaking of seat buckets....mine is cracked down at the lower 2 mounting holes. What's the best way to fix it? I have some gorilla epoxy and some e6000. Would any of that work?
I have several cracked plastic parts but the bucket is load bearing (quite a load at that) so I wonder what can handle my big ol tuchas

Does anyone know the nut size for the seat bucket on a taotao 50. I tried m6 but the threading is a little different. I hope it's not some specialized nut.
I'm going to need a lot of nuts and bolts and screws to complete my project, a lot are missing

No spark but I don't know if the spark plug is going all the way into the hood. What am I in for if I have no spark?

that was it! I replaced the soleniod and she tried to start without me having to jump it. Next, I have to figure out why the horn wont work and figure out what to do about the mystery wires.
Thanks for all your help so far. I'm not done asking questions

Are they gy6 specific? Can I get one at the motorcycle shop or do I need to drive out to the scooter shop?
Motorcycle shop (also a Genuine dealer) is 5 min away The scooter shop is 30 minutes away (for a city kid, that's a distance)
I also have the gas tank off for cleaning. I haven't even taken fuel into consideration yet

I there a procedure that any of you go through after you bring home a used scooter? Do you automatically replace hoses and lines? Clean carb and change oil?
Just wondering

I'm not planning on taking out the jumper yet.
I can tell the guy isn't an expert because he called it a "moped"
The moped army would have him court marshaled

I dont know if this guy is an expert or anything. I just was searching jumped scooter connector and this showed up
I find it interesting that the atm50 that he's selling also has a jumped connector in the front.

A ha !
I found out that the connector that was jumped is supposed to be jumped. I saw a you tube video about a guy installing an alarm and in the video he said there was jumped connector you can use to install the alarm.
Can this be used for other accessories?
It's all becoming clear

I've pretty much figured out where everything goes except the white wire. There is a plug cut in the battery box with a white and green wire on it.
The plug jumped with the yellow cable is a mystery too. Does a secret 65 have different wiring?
Here's an electric update: I got a new key for the ignition so I want to try to wire it up as well as I can soon. (Too cold this weekend to work in the garage.
I could have just bought a new ignition but the scooter shop is a 30 minute drive and there is a family owned locksmith shop 2 blocks away. I'd rather he get some of my money too
