Grocery last night. Probably an addtional 30 to 35 lb. Carried it alll in my large biker bags, with the weight where an additional rider would sit. I weigh 171 so weight on bike was probably 200 to 210 counting the heavy cable and lock in saddlebags. The ride was much smother with the weight. Other result from additional weight. Hill I normally go up at 40 to 45 chinameter dropped to 35 to 40. Who would believe that 35 lb would make that affect? Bumps in the road were much less severe with the weight. Turns and stops stayed constant. Glad I dont weigh 235 anymore ;D

1. Connect unused turn signals bulbs for additional brake lights, redesigned red housing eliminated clear ones and signals are now amber on posts. 2. Filter inside air box is 1/3 the size of box, all the other space is blanked off go to something like a K&N. 3. Better lower exhaust. Upswept desigh causes saddlebag problem. 4. Tach speedo change. Chinameter sucks and it currently has no tach. 5. Open up,hinge the huge plastic cavity between seat and steering. This could have been a flat floor bike but designers were looking for a sportsbike look. I see it as an excellent place for GPS and a custom cup holder, additional light switches. 6.Scrappy variator and assess roller weights. Bike accelerates to 30 to 35 too fast, would rather have a constant pull up to 45 and hold speed better on one of the hills here. 7. CDI change and go to manual choke.Rejet once all this is done. 8. bigger turn signal lenses on rear, don't like the little rubber posts they are mounted on. 9. Finish fab mount for box on back It currently has the one that will not accept a box. 10. Change foot stirrup position. 11. Better tires.

That milk is oil and water mixing together. Many scooters draw the crankcase breather into the airbox for pollution control. The water vapor in the box mixes with the oil and makes yuk. My CF Moto was doing that so I put an old fuel filter on the end of the crankcase breather and kept it out of the airbox. You'll need to plug the opening into the box or it will make it run lean. The oil into the box also plugs up your airfilter and makes it run rich. Rich Yep thats what I figured it was. Considering the filter is paper gunk is gonna be a problem if I dont do something different. Also actual filter in box is 1/3 the size of the box.

Another tip on jumping from a bigger battery. I used to do it this way before I got my battery tender. Battery juice is like water it seeks its own level. To be safe if I had one down and my truck was right there I just connected the two batteries positive to positive and then negative goes to one of the vehicles frame because batteries can explode. Then I went about my business for 10 to 15 minutes since I know the flow of electrons from the charged battery is dusting off the plates in the discharged one. I would then disconnect the jumpers and start the bike. (Yes I have seen a battery explode), and the guy jumping knew what he was doing, owned the garage and was a fantastic wrench. He got acid burns, ruened his clothes and blew little chunks of plastic or whatever all over the place. Battery guy explained it would happen if plates in the battery were internally grounded to each other and you hit it with a lot of juice).

JCL 150C is a cold blooder little demon. Starts runs two minutes. Try to start it again stumbles. Let it sit a min or so starts right up. runs two minutes stops. wait another minute or so starts right up higier idle speed and is O.K. runs like the first two attempts never happened. Once its warmed up runs great no stopping just a normal ( if there is such a thing as normal). Now I have noted the milk in the air box drain. Got me whats going on I give up but at the price of milk these days maby its a good thing rofl.

Interesting comments on the springs. My 50 performance increased with just a variator change to the performance one Scrappy sells. I used 4 G rollers. Did not install the yellow spring, but bought one. Moved the needle from center to bottom. Start off rpm decreased about 300 to 400 rpm leaving the driveway, WOT RPM decreased from about 7900 to 7200, hill climbing ability increased about 2 to4 MPH, acelleration is better, top speed via GPS is 44MPH. No chinameter, it ate the drive gear, again. Most interesting thing is the gas mileage went from the 80's to the 90's better because WOT is not needed as much as it was on the hills. For city I like the 50 much better than the 150 but these people around here think 25 MPH is 40 and 35 is 55 so I ride the 150. LOL back where I used to live the cops would fill a parking lot writing tickets for speeding. ;D

Get her a SCOOTER man! It's the only solution. A nice pink retro or something like that. Inexpensive, fun to work on (the scooter dude, the scooter), and she'll think it cost a fortune. Problem solved....you're welcome. Rich LOL she has an Icebear 50 trike and is afraid of it, wont ride it juswt wants to be granma. rofl

I spent a couple of winters riding a bike, except when it snowed. What I discovered was that it took the fun out of riding. Even with good gloves, long johns and a scarf the cold seeps through like water until your whole body is cold-everywhere. What I remember most was the pain of my hands thawing out from being numb with cold. It was like a vice. If you have a short commute-fine-but if you have to ride a half hour or more, take the car. I'm sure not everybody with a bike in Europe rides in the cold but a video can make it seem that way. They have better public transportation and can bus, trolley and train almost anywhere with a minimum of fuss. After I gave up the cold weather riding and bought another car it was a good couple of months before I'd even look at the bike, much less ride it. LOL spent many winter days on the HD and still have the gear. Big secret to hands is the electric mittens. Big problem is the black ice, its there but you cant see it. Only trip I ever took I regretted was one weekend early spring started out at 38 degrees, dressed and packed warm clothes, naturally wore my leathers etc. Round trip was 972 mi, and the weekend turned out to be one of those weather flukes got up in the 80's and I was a roasted hog. Convinced me I need to drop a lb. or so. (dropped 60 over the last 4 years)

Watched a video from Europe about winter scoot riding. Those guys are die hard I plan doing the same, but I think they have better tires. I got questioned about the scoot the other day in a parking lot and what was I gonna ride in the winter, with all the snow and ice and wasn't I afraid of sliding to a halt on two wheels? LOL he kind of lost his point when I told him I was going to ride the three wheeler with lawn tractor chains if it got that bad. He countered with how you going to get out of the driveway? My reply was thats what I bought a self propelled snow blower for to get to the street.

To update others here I sent a P.M. Alley about a valve problem and adjustment and whether it was metric or sae at .004 and .005. I had asked the same question on several other sites and no reply was forthcoming. The guy is great, informative and bright. Rofl I wanna be just like him when I grow up. Im even going to tell Mrs. Newbie's Trike how good his Ice Bear is to him. ;D Thanks again Alley.
