I thought it was bad when Mrs. Newbie was complaining about the scoots and I care more about the scoots than her. It got worse, Woman in a new Dodge followed me home wanting to know about the "Cute Little Motorcycle". Mrs Newbie was out on the street in a flash and was kind and informative about scoots and finally got rid of the Dodge Woman. Now any time Mrs. Newbie is ranting, or Im gone on the bike longer than she anticipated I hear about Dodge Lady, or " Did you meet another Woman to talk bikes" Cant win can we guys, rofl.

WOW grocerygetter, you are willing to put up with a lot more crap from assholes than me. Simply explain, that your time is yours. If he would like to purchase some time for you to look at his scooter, that can be arranged, and that it is time plus materials, no negotiations on material cost or parts. Especially since he refuses to work on it himself. Time costs $100.00 per hour. Or he can drop it off at the motorcycle shop across town somewhere. The person sounds like a leech. BTW - will you fix his car for free, it likely needs an oil change, his toilet is likely stopped up because he is so full of crap, and his lawn likely needs to be cut since he is lazy. I don't want to come across as a smartass, but sometimes you just have to draw a line. Thanks for the humor - I need it! BTW I'm getting that stuff at work all day too! I've got a hard road ahead of me getting this guy to become more independent. LOL its all the time when someone finds out you know something about anything. If I were you I would write this site and a few more on paper and give it to him and tell him to learn. If he refuses next time he does it hold out your palm and tell him 100 bucks an hour.

Roy, No lift off yet, but that sucker does move out smartly. If I hit it good it actually throws you back in the seat. The motor now has a lot more power has almost 2000K on it. I just grin to myself like an kid, it cranks up to 60 like nothing and quick to boot. It is funny I will be in traffic waiting for the light to change and I see cars getting in the inner lane thinking this guy is going to hold me up(NOT). Light changes and I am off to the races the cars that moved over are way behind me, then I let up to let him know IT IS ALLEYOOP on this ROCKET SHIP not a slow boat to china. Alleyoop LOL slow boat to China or slow boat from China???

I was reading your posts on your website and the one about saving gas riding to work hit home. Just yesterday I looked at the odometer on the newer 150, 435 chinameter miles. I stopped to think thats been four to five gallons of gas. If I were driving the truck that would have been about 35 gallons, or roughly $120.00 saed.

Just like the ohers, advice is dont ride without protection. Gloves are important as a helmit and also a protective padded jacket. Roadburn hurts and seeing bone is not a good experience. I still have knee problems from a bike accident in 1968.

Since your that far into it, have you thought of putting a kill switch to the starter? All you need now is to have to buy a started and that will happen if it keeps trying to start a running engine.

Stator came in on Friday. I'm going to be going to fix up my scooter on monday. I talked to my insurance guy today and he informed me that in AR I dont need insurance or registration on my scooter. In a few months a few of my previous tickets are going to clear from when I was younger and I will be able to lower my rates by 1/2. When this happens I'm prob. going to insure my scoot just to be safe Please post if the stator helps. I put additional lights on my 50 and kept a battery trnder on it sure shortended the battery life but I could see at night! Rode it home 11 miles using all the lights one foggy rainy night, ran out of juice in my driveway but the important thing was It got me home. ( I tied one of the fog lights thru the main headlight switch for that stator feed and ran the other off of battery power. The 150 has brighter lights but I like the 50 better.

Hello, My name is Bryan and I live in Arkansas. Ive owned a "50cc Xtreme" for about 2 years now. I used to ride it all the time, but I ended up flipping it when a friend flipped off a driver and we got thrown into a 6 foot drop. The scooter ran afterwards, but I let it sit for a winter and the same friend "tinkered" with it and now it doesnt work. Ive been wanting to ride again and the wife wont let me get a motorcycle or bigger scooter so I'm going to try to make the most of what I have. Ive moved the scooter to a friends house to work in his shop. So far I know that that I need to replace the carburator, intake, filter, a few light bulbs, oil, battery, and gas. Right before I parked it I replaced the gas tank petcock bc it stopped letting gas through. I could never get the new one to work so I just gave up. Some of the other problems I know of is: The battery would never keep a charge. I dont know how the charging system works on scoots it could be as simple as a loose wire for all I know right now. The alarm system wont work b/c I took the horn off the scoot and it needs to be replaced. The body is crap, but its all plastic and Im going to school to learn how to weld so I might take it up there and weld a new body out of thin metal one of the bulbs on the headlights was out, and they were never very bright to begin with. If I could I'd like to upgrade to a HID setup. The kick start doesnt work bc the cover for it broke. Now that I can weld I might be able to fix it. but idk. The starter was making a weird noise last time I tried to use it. I cant remember what it looks like, but I have a parts scooter I might be able to take one off of. (parts scoot is a Honda sr50. Im pretty sure I blew the engine on that one.) Mirrors are ducktaped in place, the wreck took those out. Anyway my parts should be here in about a week and I can really get started on her then. Welcome, sounds likeyour friend might be just the guy to helpwith repairs, after all he got you where you are. Mrs Newbie asked why your wife doesn't want you to get another bike. LOL wives..

Hey has anyone ever seen this scooter or heard anything about it....? It is a Motobravo Hornet made in china, comes with a gy6 motor but on a months ago ismotorcycle frame. Its brand new and I haven't found any comments, consumer complaints or modifying tips at all. Any body hear or see anything about this bike? It's cool have seen pics. Might be a good ride but look close what I found about the 150JCL I bought a few months ago is a real pain in the dupa getting side panels off to do variator carb, stuff we do to play with out toys.

The lights on the 50 WIldfire sucked and instead of working it trying for a stator upgrade I decided to go 150. The Rodder in me told me "MISTAKE", but I did it. Fortunately instead of letting someone steal the wildfire for a song I parked it. I now find I get more smiles per mile from the 50 and the 150 is just more expensive to have for no good reason. Next Spring the Wildfire will be on the road and the 150 will be gone.

Its cool, but the helmit? That type helmit is good for a knee guard. Way back when I was a kid had an idiot rear end me at 45, bounced down road and wore cheap helmit. Dr. at hospital pushed finger thru what was left and exclaimed " Get a real hat"! He then explained he rode every day and he was seeing a lot of head damage a good one would have eliminated. I now use the best I can find, they are much more comfortable. Im still leary on using over two years because of the plastic U.V. thing, but ill bet that is no longer a problem.

Just took a look, dont think I would ride one. Her little 50 Cc Ice bear took a few days to get used to with the rear wheels but I would be afraid of the leaning and geometry.

it's already been 6 hours and we haven't heard back from suttlebroskie yet....and no "thanks" was mentioned either...hmmm, is this what speedracer is talking about? ....now i know how it feels... back to the topic..... And this comment, is quite ridiculous... Do you not realize, that people have lives, and things come up, and you can't just sit there waiting for a reply. LOL do not sit on a scooter site and wait rofl you could be old and grey in some instances. ( agree with you completely)!
