MC: Air pressure in tires. speedometer reading: Odometer reading, fuel octane rating: Verify all are correct. and reading our language not chinameter. I went 2 sellers specs to find your compression ratio but no luck. Suggestion: map out a trip, can be short by mapquest and follow the directions exactly that will give you an exact mileage reading. Drive the route and check odometer reading to assure speedo is correct. You now have a baseline to assure mileage is correct or off and you can adjust MPG calculations accordingly. If Fred runs well do not touch fuel air mixture until you are assured mileage is correct.

Generally after break in yes, also as you learn your performance curve, rpm/mph, you will find that backing off the throttle slightly will result in no speed reduction but better mpg. Synthetic engine oil will help as well as good rear end grease. Rear end grease in all three of ours was no better than mud, one of them had green grease, guess they didn't wait for that dinosaur to die before using him rofl! Cheapest thing for better mileage:tire pressure.

If you tell me what your looking for I might be able to recall where it is. Also, if you look at the bottom of any thread there's a search button, that's a Proboard's search and it will dig it up for you sometimes. There's also a search button at the top of the site. You might be able to find what you're looking for in the memorable posts board under Archives. Rich Thanks for the reply. So far I have saved: old fashoned way to adjust valves ( chain streach issue) and another one for the lights. I only save the ones that really hit home.

I bought a set to replace the power consuming driving lights. Too dull I had not thought of doing a rear one. Good idea!

I Dont! What I do is copy and paste them to an email to myself, especially ones like repairs. I then save them in a folder marked scooter mods/repair. It saves a lot of time: Exmple, Sprocket wrote a great valve timing procedure the old way. I saved it this way. When adjusting valves we forget some details, instead of searching you go to your e-mails and poof there it is. P.S. Thanks Sprocket ;D

Are there two of you or didn't you say in the other place you weren't keeping the scooter? Two of us her and me. Yep said that but the guy that was buying it got cold feet when I said lets go to the bank and check the money. I also paid close attention to my seating on the wildfire and found I only streach my legs about every 20 min, which I figured out how to do on the new one. Figure in 10 to 20 miles of the mechanics breakin it was one nice bike.

Don't panic. Wildfires are legal in PA. There are quite a few around here. If you have a valid class M, you shouldn't have a problem. Wait and see what Cookees says about the Ice Bear. Ice Bear data plate is where thry can see it. The new 150 that just arrived, Im going to have to pull the panels and find it. It is a JCL 150.

???Just read or tried to read Pa license and Moped/scooter/motorcycle, drivers license and class M. now completely confused. Mercer county, location of new home requires inspections and emissions, but part of the law says mfg data regarding specs must be posted where it can be seen by moving steering gear. My data plate is attached to the frame under the bike straight from the factory. Guess that means the beloved Wildfire is illegal in Pa. Of course her Ice Bear, which she planned on never registering and has the plate attached where Pa. wants it , meets requirements. Bet she wants to sell it now. I haven’t even looked at the 150 that arrived two weeks ago for this information. Is there a registry to go to and see what Pa. accepts as registered bikes. Even though I have had a class M issued in Hawaii, transferred to Md. And Va. I guess I have to do it all over. Tried to ask via phone yesterday but Ms. Snotty needed fired because her answers were more confusing than the Pa. regulations. Help please!!!

I see that the Wildfire website has only one scooter model and one scooter/motorcycle listed. No one will ever pay retail for a vehicle sold by an individual. New vehicle buyers take an immediate depreciation hit when they "drive it off the lot". No matter what one does to fix or improve a vehicle, there will never be a return on investment for repairs. Buyers don't care what you've done to it; all they care about is the current running, cosmetic condition, and can they get a better deal somewhere else. If you want to sell a vehicle (or anything else for that matter) you must take market condition into consideration. Ewwwwwwwww sorry, im ranting and your talking economics. Let me rant some more. Econimics : Guns & Butter and the relationship between. 2. Go to the Grocery store can of coffee, 6 to 8 bucks beginning of the year now 12 to 15 bucks. All of this market driven, nope, all of this the rules of supply and demand, nope, its all because costs are now higher bad coffee growing lately and everyone has a right to profit. Choose to dump a bike because you were offered what the buyer wanted to pay, sorry. The used prices are down because we allow them to be. With new prices going up it makes sense to stop being Nice Guy and sell it for what its worth. Supply and demand? A lot more new than used out there.

As far as I know, there are no requirements other than the scoot has to be on the approved mfr list. I've never had an emissions test on my rides when I get the annual safety inspection. How do I find out if my bikes are on the list, what is the list??ROFL.
