I never understood why they never installed a maxi fuse inline with the positive cable, that should be a standard requirement on all bikes, it only blows in a situation like this

does anyone else here have a Yiben scooter? I can find little on the company, other then they seem to be a legitimate motorcycle manufacturing company, www.kaitongmotor.com/english/index.asp they don't make toasters or anything, just bikes and generators. I have a 2015, sold as 2016 Yiben Scout, and it seems to be very well made, I haven't seen the quality issues many chinese bikes seem to have. It has the heavy gross frame, not the light duty 200 pound gross frames many bikes have The only real issue I'm having is a hole in the carb diaphragm, which I ordered another Keihin carb for I've ridden the crap out of this bike, 700 miles in two months and it's held up well

they have genuine Keihin carbs, which is what Honda uses anyway, for under 30 bucks on ebay, your carb bore is probably 19mm, which is what most 50cc scooters use, I'm not sure about the mounting spacing though but someone probably makes an adapter, you can change jets etc on a Keihin, it's not fixed

check the diaphragm in the carb, I just discovered mine had a tear in it. this is a very common easy to fix issue . This was after being passed by a handicapped scooter, I couldn't find the diaphragm so i just ordered a new carb (cheap)
