from what I understand the 5 wire with two yellow wires is wired differently then the 5 wire with one yellow and one white wire, despite what they advertise, I'll probably end upgrading to an 11 pole and 6 wire regulator

low mileage,is dependent on the brand, I'm looking at a rukus 250 thats sitting in a falling down lean too with a pile of other scooters, but it's a Honda, and the previous owner owns the shop. 30,000 is nothing on a Honda, but a chinese bike would be junk. it depends on if he will sell, and or how much, I can make it nice again

Ok I replaced my stator , I had charge coil voltage too low for the CDI, I had an 8 pole, dual charge coil 5 wire, the fifth wire is really irrelevant as it just grounds to the stator frame, and is just an extra ground, I can now start the scooter, but I have no AC voltage on either output wire, I had AC voltage before. I have a good ground wire from the battery all the way to the stator case. I can measure 60 ohms on each wire to ground. This is a single charge coil with two yellow wires, instead of a yellow and white, but both should be the same, it's just AC voltage from each winding, one goes to each side of the regulator rectifier, but I'm measuring 0 volts ac to ground to each wire right out of the stator case, I haven't pulled the flywheel again to check for pinched wires, but my meter is telling me they aren't anyway. any ideas? some kind of oddball wired stator?

I used to,back in the late 80's, but I can't handle the banking anymore with my inner ears, I don't know about new rules and regulations, get the bike first then get the paraglider, get processional instruction or you'll end up dead. they are very limited by weather and wind.

I'm going to look into a big 250 Rukus that will need restoration, they are supposed to be great bikes and will cruise at 65, it's a scooter but or all intents and purposes it's a motorcycle with a step through

my walmart AGM battery in the Yiben just died after 6 months, and it was ridden daily on average a minimum 20 miles, I have an 8 pole stator, but many of the 50s have a 6 pole which is pretty much worthless for charging the battery

it could also be a failing master cylinder, it could be not releasing immediately

have you checked the bolt that secures the handlebars? the one under the plastic? mine was ready to fall out, and the front end will shimmy back and forth under load, this could be what's happening, the chinese don't believe in lockwashers,or even locktite

you can even cut off the tube and weld up the hole in the plate to make your own blockoff plate

why fix it?it does nothing anyway, it's eye candy to make the EPA happy, the stock converter muffler clogged at 2000 miles anyway

I checked it with a hand vacuum gauge, I spent years working on vacuum nightmare emissions on cars, so I'm pretty good at this stuff

if you have an 8 pole stator, you can't switch it with 6 without changing the flywheel, the magnets and number of poles have to match. I don't know why you had so much trouble finding a stator, they are all over ebay and amazon I just ordered one myself, the four wire ones are fine, you just ground the green wire coming from your harness to the stator, all it does is ground to the metal frame of the stator, which grounds to the engine, so if you ground the green wire where it comes from your harness it will work the same

a lot of kill switches are three wire, when it's on it grounds the cdi to kill the engine, when it's off it provides the ground to the start solenoid while the brake circuit provides the hot through the start switch

you probably bumped a wire or connection in there check your kill switch wires
