you can get name brand coils for bikes with CDI type ignitions from ebay, and they should work, if it's a transformer type coil(vs an inductive coil) ,some guys have run coil on plug coils from the junkyard and they worked fine. A name brand coil is going to be far better quality then some no name chinese junk coil

the issue is these are very poorly made components, that only function on paper, if they were made decently I would say leave them alone, but they will most likely fail. How the valve is supposed to work, (someone sent me a "functioning" one) it's actually called an anti backfire valve. during high vacuum conditions, throttle suddenly closed for example, vacuum is supposed to close the valve, blocking air from the exhaust, from looking at that valve, there is no way these little engines can close it.

I finally took the rest of my pair canister off, it does nothing, vacuum or no vacuum, air goes right through it, you can stick a filter directly on the end of the hose going to the engine, the big hose, and it will function exactly the same. the canister with it's vacuum control, appears to be for appearance only, it does nothing useful except maybe filter the air. There is no logical reason for that hose to be shut off when the engine isn't running, even if it actually worked

Hey well I have had some experience with one sprinted scoots.... I put a oil cooled fourwheeler 150 onto my vento phantom frame temporarily and it ripped the motormounts almost off. Me motor point directory left while the frame was straight and I'm not sure if I'm blaming springs or not but I'll tel you what I ordered a second matching for the other side immediately. I think it depends on how much weight you carry and I treat my bike like a van so that's like.... my weight 120 plus a heavy duffel bag and a toolkit and a purse. So it depends on if you are toying around your kitchen sink or not? so you put a larger engine in the frame, nearly break off the frame mounts from the extra horsepower and torque, and blame the spring?

understand that the spring/shock is not supporting the engine/swingarm, the pivot bushings and frame are, the tire is supported by two bearings in the gearbox case, this is not a new concept and has been used by dirtbikes for decades, all the spring and shock does is damp the motion and absorb road shock, if you want to upgrade anything, upgrade your pivot bushings

there is supposed to be a way to duct pressurized air from the case over to the air inlet end on the cvt cover, everything in there gets super hot from the belt, variator rollers, clutch etc

it's awful trying to tune one of these carbs with an open filter, it's supposed to be only 2 cycles that are so critical about the air cleaner, but the 4 cycles seem to be as well, it's probably got something to do with air velocity, and the valve. with the long intake tube, valve opening and closing could be setting up tuned pulses to help with airflow

I'm still wondering if yours is a Solana , jonway brand or it has one of those dealership things on it, if it says Taizhou City Kaitong on the plate, it's probably a Yiben, they make several brands but that is their main brand, they have a pretty good reputation for a Chinese Scooter company

mine only has 800 miles on it, and the vacuum controlled valve for that system is already leaking to atmosphere, causing a giant vacuum leak, get rid of everything but the crankcase breather which is needed , then you don't have cheap hoses and parts randomly failing

does your scooter have big chrome letters that says solona across the sides? there is also a Jonway Solana which looks like mine, but it has an A in the name instead of an O , these are not factory applied letters on mine

do your turn signals work when you turn the key on? or your horn? if they do, chances are it's the starter solenoid, they are really cheap online and easy to replace. if you take a heavy piece of wire and jumper the heavy wire from the battery across the two big terminals, the starter should turn over. are you pulling the brake when you try to start the bike? it could be the switch,
