lol ya big JIM is definitely the goto for info and I will order the original from him if I need to.. I found some on amazon that look real similar that were pretty cheap so I ordered 2 different sets,, the handlebar is 7/8" so that's standard... I'll find out Tuesday if they work ok. LOL
The plastic on the original throttle tube where the cable connects deformed so it's just the tube . the cable is ok...

Would anybody know fer sure what throttle grip assembly is on the magnum? Mine just got here from storage and throttle just turns and doesn't do anything. not the grip slipping but the sleeve turning too.. either grip or end of cable broken... got to get it inside to try and take it apart and find out what's broken for sure.....
Thanks

hey Mike I got a computerized speedo - tach on board.. gets to 60MPH IF I have enough of a flat run. LOL The rpms don't go above about 4000 . i'm guessing if I got out to Bonneville it could get to 80 or 90MPH. I'm gonna try a new CDI just to check. also gonna go for carb main jet changes and heavier clutch torque spring the stock one on it only has 90 lbs. the lightest sliders are 12g and I think I need at least 120 - 140Lbs. on torque spring to get the gearing working right.. might go with new air filter and open muffler baffle a bit too..
One of these days. it's gotta work right enough to be comfortable riding it.

well everybody has good comments. unfortunately I've done all of the suggestions so like I said its time to change out some stuff.. lol
and alley one Capsiter goes screwey in there and there goes ur curve..... I hate things that are potted closed where u cant work on them.....
I still have the original question about the wiring of the cdi.. don't wanna get one and have it wired different.. ZAP!!!!
And those things run on smoke.. if u let it out no workie anymore......
stronger clutch spring - cdi maybe some carb jet changes .. been working on it for 3 years now and only got about 400 miles on it.....
Gonna get there one of these days..... Looking at a trike kit for my Hyosung GV250 that I can't ride since my Quintuple heart bypass.....

I already changed out to mid weight sliders if memory serves they are 12g. i'm gonna try heavier clutch spring too.. if I have enough flat miles I can get it up to 60. lol if I go up a hill it drops down to 30 or so by the time I get to the top rpms never get above about 4000. that's why i'm thinking the cdi is choking rpms below the power curve.....

Hi have a 2010 300cc Magnum I've been working on since I got it... LOL Does anybody have the wiring information for the CDI... have low RPM's at Max throttle and really slows down on Pa Hills. I wanna get a CDI for it to try... have done valve adjustments and carb and all. next things to try is variator, clutch and cdi.. runs ok on the flats but still low rpm"s.... it needs to get to 7000 at least for power-torque.... when driving around never gets over about 4000...

i put in 20x12 13g in my magnum. replaced stock. The low end and takeoff is better, top is bout the same -- got a front wheel shake over 50 so don't know if really any better top mph.. better climbing loss in speed by bout 10 mph (35mph to 45 mph at top of hill) on western central pa '' HILLS '' gotta replace front wheel i guess, gonna check balance first tho.. thinking about DP clutch too, for lockup adjust, less slipping on hills..
