I use the NGK R DR7EA spark plug (I have the same scoot).

I have the same problem by times, use some loctite (blue) it. I have the mc-54-250b with the 257cc engine.

If the all black wire show nothing, trace it down to the fuse box and make sure its connected, maybe it not making connect (it should show 12v too) I think that's what Alleyoop is getting too.

Can you trace back those ignition wire to where they start from, check all those connections with any of those plug in wires to make sure that they are tight and not touching one another.

I have the same tire size, mine call for 33psi (both tires).

Hi justguy1, have you check your fuse box and fuses, many time the underneath of the fuse box could have loose or touching wires, even when the fuses look good, they can be bad, I'll post a pic, there is a 3 way plug in the muffler side to check, I had trouble with dim lights and it melted.

Hi everybody, Got my new fuel pump today  Sprayed into intake hose, a few cranks and she fire right up  Still have to test drive tomorrow, Just wanted to give you an update, thanks Rich and everyone, I'll let you now how it goes. Attachments:

bhinch, I know that nut works loose by times, but I do use blue loctite and it keeps it tight for while.
