interesting i assumed the gy6 tachs on ebay would have fit the bill, guess you learning something new every day.
i think i might have project some one like you who can 3d print can do. it may be possible to raise the oil pressure for cooler with out need of an external pump by printing gears. the oil pump gear is plastic! ....ssoooo why do need a metal gear on the crank to drive it again? ...hhhhmm wonder if we could print that gear and put a dowel pin it!? more rpm on the pump and more oil! ....in theory.

well i wondering about those like me who have carburetor maybe our charging systems could handle the oil pump put in series with the oil cooler bolted up? have you looked in to 3d printing? 3d printers print plastic parts in 3 dimension, using high grade plastics. you could make the shaft, round with 2 flat spots and have a gear printed up to fit. I have a thread here about planning, making, and fitting an oil cooler with a pump. It does work and my 139QMB with a stock(ish) charging system can handle the load from the pump, run a 35w or 55w headlight, and still charge the battery. I also use my 3d printer in that thread quite a bit. I don't think the plastics that are commonly used, PLA and ABS, would be able to hold up to the speed and heat that the gears on the oil pump gears are subjected to. Also, if the gears themselves are submerged in oil, I'm not sure if either plastic will be tolerant of the hot oil. There are other materials that 3d printers can use like bronzefill which is PLA with 90% bronze dust added. There's also some that have carbon fiber in them. HEY THANKS! All of this interests me. i do want an HID or LED light that is brighter and i would like an oil cooler. This helps out very much! gonna book mark your link. we think alike. i'm close to getting a 3d printer. if the Davinci 1.0 goes on sale again i'll pick one up and get the preterier firmware. not the best but, realy DECENT for the money once the non factory firmware is installed. This is a very big part that is lacking on these machines,,,rich and I were discussing this very thing before,,, well you know,,, oiling is marginal at best ,, more flow is needed given the fact that they don't carry much oil anyways ,,, and even a smaller cooler will expand capacity and create more cooling surface area,,, it would be a win I may try to pick up where this left off. a friend is machinist i may ask how plausible it is to make a crank and oil pump gear. in theory to a limit w can just make the gearing taller so the pump spins faster.

Do you guys think my idle jet will need to be sized up too?
to bad they don't sell a master jet kit with duplicate sized jets and both and main and idle jets.

The chain should only "droop" until the tensioner is in place, then it should be just snug but not tight. I would not recommend using chains not designated for this purpose, there may or may not be specifications we are unaware of. There are three main engine sizes for the 139qmb, but AFAIK, there are only two cam chain lengths (could be wrong). well my understanding is turn it on it's side and it should not droop. is it normal to droop on it's side?

how many sizes of T chain are there for the 139qmb? I have to wonder if a Honda mini bike chain will work and or if there are quality chains. when i turn mine it's side it's droopy and flexible.

turns out it has 84 in there stock but, i think that helps confirm i wouldn't need any thing higher than 95. too bad the cheaper kit does not have an 85 or 86. guess i'll get the cheap kit and all else fails we will use that special high precision drill bit set.

Jet kits?

One set would arrive in a couple of days...the other in a couple of weeks. A few years ago I bought a set of jets...wasn't in a big rush....went the slow boat from China route. Totally satisfied with the product I received. Don't think there's a nickles worth of difference in the way they are made. So if you can do without them for 14 days or so, i'd pick the $5 ones......but.....if you need them immediately, you'll need to spend the $20 once comes with twice many and twice as many sizes. the question is not time but, weather i need the sizes provider by the larger set or the smaller set still has all the sizes that i will need?

i wonder if it fits all GY6 or if it's specifically for the 50cc or 150cc.
