check for corroded or loose electrical plug and or connections as well as grounds. check any wire that are tip tied to the frame worn spots, (spots worn through the rubber and showing bare metal)

i see a kit for a for under $200. that would give you money to not only get a crank but, have it balanced and if applicable welded too. (depending one how hard you want to be able to run it) that would blow the entire $500 though with no room for other mods.

read a lot skimmed a lot. either you are just barley charging the battery or you have an electrical gremlin. which is common for chinese scooter. i had an issue starting once and my electrical friend told me to check the 6 pin the on CDI. low and behold it was a loose pin. I'm wondering if you don't have some positive wire with small exposed area rubbing the frame and raining the battery... very very slowly. I fixed my busted gas gauge once, i jack up the scooter and put a new underneath it.... Okay not really i swapped scooters or rather i swapped my engine in to a new scooter with failing engine. Any ways i think the busted gauge maybe an issue in it's self a wiring or gauge issues maybe in the dash cluster. not necessarily related to you starting issue. Have you tried smacking the solenoid? my i've seen my dad do it dozens of times ones that have sat long time or corroded/dirty from sitting in wet place or place near the water. EDIT: sorry for tipple posting.

If you have a trickle charger I don't think it would hurt to put it on it for a few hours. My Sears battery maintainer has an indicator light that turns green when it's "full". I leave it on all winter on the Fashion. how has that gel battery held up after all these months? I have to wonder if Chinese gel batters are worth a crap and if they go bd after year or 2 like the normal cheap ones.

Yes the Oil for the Crankcase is different than the Tranny oil. Crankcase most use 10Wx40 and Tranny Gear oil 75w90 or 80W90. Alleyoop how many miles before one should change the gear oil?

it needs to be repair by some who knows what they are doing. maybe it would be patched with fiber glass and or stitched up with thin wire.

do the EGR heads do even half assed job at scavenging unburned gas and improving MPG or do they really only kill power and cut emissions.

Hey guys! I wanted to see what you guys thought about this idea. I wanna get one of these heaters, or something like it 12VOLT Powered. www.walmart.com/ip/Roadpro-RPSL-681-12-Volt-Direct-Wire-Ceramic-Heater-Fan-with-Swivel-Base-Cooking-with-Calphalon-5-Quart-Hard-Anodized-Nonstick-Chili-Pot-with-Lid/29814912I have already upgraded my Stator/Magneto AND my battery to a 12volt, 12 Amp hour. I can run my 250 watt amp, all of my lights, and I my Magneto STILL gives 13.1-14volts to charge the battery sufficiently. If I get this one or another one like it, I would also make DOORS, for my scoot. Most likely out of Plexi-Glass. Hinge the doors to the front of the scoot, with a quick release pin, so I can take them on and off easily. Attach them to the back with a Velcro strip, so IF, I had to put my feet down, like at a stop, or in a wreck I could do so easily. What do you guys think? Thanks for looking! is this a 150cc trike your doing this to?

What causes this? It just slides onto the shaft right? a bent shaft, possibly bearings if there any, out of round parts or just plain old Chinese quality control, which would also be part of balancing. of which if you modify your own parts can a positive effect on performance if you know what your doing... maybe. defy true for engine parts.
