hey guys i need some ideas on how to make my wife 08 baja sc50 faster .The 35 it does now just ain't cutting it.I'm running at 1/8 throttle on my 150 for her to just up with me ,I know it 's not going to be a speed demon but i could go a little faster. well if you want only a little faster you could check out my thread. www.scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=150cc&thread=4534&page=1i had the intake ported among other things, in the future i plan to mate a 4mm jug to the stock 39mm head for a compression bump.

i'm on the fence as to weather or not something is askew with mine. it doesn't help that it sat fora year and after getting it all back together all i had was 87-89 octane to fill it up with.
some times it bogs and stalls out when going up hill, some times the idle varies, one time i might crack open the throttle real fast and the idle will drop 2k, the next time it might drop 2.5k.
sorry if i'm thread jacking.

just like machine shops there are companies that do the 3-d printing for you, you tell them what you want and maybe some measurements and stuff... damn you live in Missouri too, i was about too say while you can do it over the inet and mail the parts i'd think there is better chance of being able to see them in person if you live in a big city.

well i wondering about those like me who have carburetor maybe our charging systems could handle the oil pump put in series with the oil cooler bolted up?
have you looked in to 3d printing? 3d printers print plastic parts in 3 dimension, using high grade plastics. you could make the shaft, round with 2 flat spots and have a gear printed up to fit.

i rode a VIP with a secret 60cc cylinder we always wondered why it so much faster than the big wheeled 50cc scooters. this is what push me towards to upgrading to 60cc instead on an 88 or 100cc BB kit.

Well I modified my stock pipe. While doing my first set mods, we put some sort of asbestice cloth (while it was on there it think it helped it form rusting some) about 2-3 inches from the flange, and ground down the flange nice and neat for better air flow. Just recently (wish i had taken pics) I took that off and and chipped and sanded all the rust i could off the header pipe rubbed it down with powdered graphite and took a 15 foot by 1 inch roll of graphite fiber glass header wrap and wrapped it all the way to the can, with a hose clamp at the flange and stainless zip ties just after the first bend and two more next to each other just before the weld bead that connects the can.
Personally i'd lover to have higher quality quite pipe with more flow and that is as quiet or quieter.

I'm going to do an experiment to see if I can get more oil flow out of an oil pump You're talking my language. If you succeed I think i'll reconsider an oil cooling mod. I'm all about these kinds of mods. I can make more power all day long but, making more power while being more reliable or cooler is another story. EDIT: if the plastic gear ends up being a problem would it be possible to have one 3D printed?
