Has any one upgraded their shock? I saw scrappy dog has one. IS their any thing to be gain as far as ride quality? is there any thing to be gained as far as handling?
I know if you take corner fast enough you can bottom out, or at least I have but, in order to prevent that don't you have to have a stiffer spring thusly sacrificing ride quality?

damn. Well i was thinking if there was one with higher volume it might help reliability and might be able to Handel those oil cooler kits you see being sold.
it's not possible to replace the thinner internal gears with thicker ones but, keep the smaller outer gear for more rpms is it?

I guess mine doesn't have emissions as i lack a line that goes from the canister to the intake, my only line off the intake goes to the petcock.
my canister has 1 open hole and a line to the valve cover and 1 to the gas tank for fumes and one to the air cleaner.

My first thought is the valves are set too wide. I would knock that down to .002 on both, or .002 intake and .003 exhaust. I know it's a BBK but they can be hinky on the valve gap. See if that makes a difference, if not we can try something else. This was trick a buddy of mine taught me to get a teeny tiny bit more lift off the cam. People always say to set wide gaps when in reality they don't even know what the gap is for. He once tested weather or not the gaps get smaller when something gets hot and he found the gap got bigger. I think i set mine to something like .002 intake and .002.5 exhaust. The only time i have hard start is in the middle of winter when i leave it outside over night.

" removing the emission crap" was the dumbest thing i did, all it is is a breather hose going to a canister which which connecters into the intake to recirculate oil vapors and a gas tank vapor recirculate that puts the fumes from the gas tank in to the intake.
it doesn't rob any power and helps boost mpg. real power comes from compression and timing (i don't mean JUST ignition timings).

i spy an after market oil pump. is this for a 125 or 150? or is it for a 50cc, meaning there are aftermarket oil pumps for the 50cc and if so do they do a better job do they really work? Cool deal. this site is awesome. It really is the best tech help anywhere. As a matter of fact the only tech anywhere help aside from murky answers from TaotaoUSA (theres one other pretty good site scooterrebels but the responses are really slow so it's almost useless if your truly trying to accomplish something. I will stick around this site until I have hot girls to fix my scooter for me, which might happen tomorrow so this might be the last you hear from me and my lottery millions. Thanks for your help. I say that so much it seems kinda hollow, but dammit I'll post a video of the hot girls fixing my scooter to pay you all back. I never understood why there is scooter doc AND scooter rebels, they look like they both have the same styled forums and back end, almost if they were owned by the same person. if the two were to join there would be more overall traffic.

why would it need to control air? i think it's to keep the intake suction strong so it can suck air and fuel because the engine can't spin up that fast with all the stuff the crank has to pull and spin.
TL;DR throttle response and some how air temp and altitude?
correct me if i'm wrong. However with mine when ever it got colder i made more power, perhaps the slide wasn't doing it's job or can only compensate so much?

i also wonder if the CV is used so as to not stall out. the scoot is pulling all that weight on a CVT, so i was thinking if you had a straight up slide and cranked the throttle back as fast as you could, the engine couldn't accelerate fast enough causing a lack of vacuum at WOT on take off thusly causing it to stall out and possibly die.
I wonder if the vacuum dome is what the vacuum line is for? in that case does the slide stay up when running or above certain rpm?

Now that is a name brand i have definitely heard of. www.mbe-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/19_106_2/products_id/436www.mbe-motorsports.com/catalog/index.php/cPath/19_106_2that definitely caught my attention. Dellorto used be better know back around the 70s, apparently they made some quality parts. not only this it's only about 1mm larger than the stock 16mm carb, which with my small bore project might be a good fit. now i'm not sure if this has a butter fly and slide like the stock ones do or why exactly the stock ones have a slid AND butter fly. i've been scouting out parts that might might fit my build that i'd like to continue in the near future. Perhaps i should have made 1 thread instead of several. perhaps if i find any thing else i can post it in here. the only thing better would be a stock looking high performance quiet pipe to go along with the other mods

no no this in relation to my last thread, all purely for fun. i like the idea of a small bore performance engine.
