Realistically, these would need to be printed and then contour cut, and I don't have one of those machines. Otherwise it would be a lot of work to get it right. Could these be printed and I would cut them out by hand? I don't have a large format printer anymore. That would need to be printed with a solvent printer. I don't have one of those either. I sold most of my sign making equipment, just kept the vinyl cutters and a heat press for garments. Sorry.

The reflective looks great all of the time.
All reflective vinyls have a high tack adhesive and are harder to apply on compound curves, but totally explode when light hits them either in the sun or at night. An awesome effect, but very easy to mess up the installation. Reflective vinyl is rather pricey. But you wouldn't need much as a scooter isn't that big.
On the other hand standard vinyl is easier to apply, a lot more forgiving, and can be stretched into place as/if needed.
A wet solution helps with both.
Save the file as an Illustrator 8 .eps, be sure to include both sides, because if I mirror the image to cut the other side, your 250cc would be mirrored as well.

My red scooter was dropped a few times by the previous owner and is full of scratches. I am trying to find ways to hide the scratches. Something high-vis like this would have some advantages: 035-1 BMW Police Motorcycle by Sou'wester, on Flickr If I did this for you I would release you from the picture of it finished.

Yes, that is just black. I am having second thoughts about a respray to silver, though. Personally, I think the scooter looks better red. I don't care for the accents in yellow, I feel that the accents would look better either in silver, white, black, reflective white, reflective black or reflective red. If I were going to paint anything I would paint the trunk to match the scooter and then put accents on it as well. I can't tell from the pic, are the current accents white or silver ? If they are silver, I would go with that to keep it consistent. As for visibility, silver blends in with the horizon too much, where red is more easily seen by other drivers. Just my thoughts. Jeff

My final layout done in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Print by mjkeogh303, on Flickr This would be simple as well provided that I was only cutting the black, a bit more work for both black and white.

I have several professional grade sign cutters. I can provide graphics for scooters, to those who need them, for free or nearly free, provided that,
1. they are a board member 2. it is for personal use, not for resale 3. you must provide high quality graphics to begin with, preferably in .eps format 4. You will need to provide the exact finished size required.
Dr Jeff
btw - I would like to see pictures of the graphics applied, say before and after pics, of a now highly customized scooter.

I live in north Alabama, just outside of Huntsville, in the Madison/Athens area. I am a computer doctor. As for football, since I paid tuition at Tuscaloosa for my son, I am a Roll Tide fan, but kudos to the Tigers for winning the National Championship. Thanks to whomever put the avatar in place for me. How many people own a Velux?

Just wanted to say Hi.
I am new to scooters, but rode 500cc motorcycles 25+ years ago. I have a 2006 Diamo Velux 150 with about 100 miles on it now had 42 when I took it home, new old stock, and a 2006 Diamo Fury with 325 miles, almost new old stock, bought the Fury to resell.
