I have 2 identical boxes that came with my 150, (wrong color and the right color. ) I did stuff some rubber in the lower groove just to keep them from rattling. This fall would be a good time to find some real gaskets. that 3m trim stuff is the right way to do it too. apply to both sides gasket and trunk, let both dry to touch. just be sure to get it lined up perfect as it will not slide or move. GS motors said to keep the wrong color trunk and make a candy dish out of it! On my dirt road the 2 small scooters just rattle like crazy and I am resigned to just putting up with it. john It would be a good time to add some LEDs to the trunks too for some better visibility from rear too. I always liked a blue dot tail light too. What color is your spare? Do you want to sell it? If so, How much do you want for it shipped to 35757?

According to reports, the source of the earthquake was Chris Cristie's aerobics class.

Have you looked at PartsForScooters.com ?
or ScooterPartsPro.com ?
btw - listing where you have checked would be helpful as well.

I found a piece of plastic debris in the tank of my Velux while replacing the fuel regulator, I could go down the road, & the little piece of crap would get sucked into the hole, killing the scooter, pull over to the side of the road and it would start right back up as the little plastic piece floated up.
Very frustrating, I sure am glad that the fuel regulator was bad, as I'm not really sure how long it would have taken me to find it.

Carb Trick

So I got a set of screwdrivers at harbor freight for $2.49 that had an 8" thin one in the set and found a crack between two body panels and the floor, stuck it thru and that allowed me to get it adjusted.
Thx

Carb Trick
by: drjeff - Jul 27, 2011 8:23:03 GMT -6
Post by drjeff on Jul 27, 2011 8:23:03 GMT -6
the A/F screw is what I was actually meaning, sorry for the confusion.
The scooter in question is the newest one. (scooter 4) It had been sitting for 2 years according to the P/O.
I have the seat bucket out, I can see the carb, currently, the idle speed screw is screwed all of the way in, it is still idling very low, it will rev smoothly, if i remember correctly, the A/F screw is 2 & 3/4 turns out, but it is a real pita to get to.
All help is appreciated.
Thx.
After a new fuel regulator on the Velux, it runs fantastic.
No pun intended, I know there has to be some sort of darn trick to get to one of the more important adjustments. It is down low, access from the side is blocked by the frame first, removing the side body panel, doesn't seem to help.

it is a 150cc, red & black, it now runs, had to take apart & clean the carb, it still news abit of adjusting, for it to idle smoother.
this is what I found.
The ad says Kinroo, it doesn't say that anywhere on the scooter.

Carb Trick

So what is the trick to getting at the idle screw on the side of the carb.
I have been loosening the intake and breather screws, rotate the cab adjust, rotate, re-tighten and test. A real PITA.
I can seem to get a screwdriver on the adjustment screw otherwise.
So folks what is the trick?

Thanks drjeff. I am about ready to send you an EPS for some vinyl for the rear, side panels. How about something for the horizontal areas of the fairing?
