hmm that hollywood guy, print more money and spend even more to fix the economy which we did and now look at us! at least jimmy carter tried to do the right thing by a real balance of budget and conservative spending, the vietnam war caused a lot of our problems since we spent all that money on it and the military machine. by the way the 80's sucked when it came to getting a decent paying job.

i rode my friends vip peace 50cc the other day with him on it and my knees hit the front so it seems a bit small, does any one have a reccomendation for a brand of scooter that has some legroom? i am thinking the chinese stuff as it is cheap. if i was shelling out big cash then i would prolly buy a Stella.
not really wanting to spend the cash on a kymco either.

i notice most people call all electrical problems a short in the system. for the most part this is not a bad thing however when properly diagnosing electrical issues it is a bad thing. here is the proper terms for these 2 issues as i was taught by the marine corps when learning to be an aviation electrician many moons ago.
Short: a short condition exists when a wire or two wires come in contact to each other or comes into contact with a ground source this will cause a fuse to blow or a circuit breaker to pop, also can cause the wiring harness to burn from the source of the problem all the way to the end of the circuit melting everything in its path!
Open: a open condition exists when there is a break in the wire and no signal is getting through, or a component is not energizing it will act like an open condition, common causes are bad connectors bad plugs or just plain ole broken wires.
Open conditions are harder to find as there is no pop or burnt anything so when diagnosing always start at the battery and work your way through to the component that is not working. Trace the wires and plugs and any fuses there may be and always clean and check your ground connection. You would be surprised how many problems are solved by starting at the battery , i worked building nautique boats and most problems were solved at or near the battery. if anyone else has any terms with a definition or description please add it. this all came off the top of my head from information i learned ARGGGGGH 25 years ago!

I concur having been a former bicycle repair guy myself remove #5 then try to remove #11 if #5 does not move(be sure to hold #11 in place) then soak this assembly with some pb blaster as the lock nut or the race may be galled onto the fork threads which is common on bicycles too. if #11 moves only a little bit then you will have to work it off by going back and forth with it using copious amounts of pb blaster. doing a back and forth loosening then tightening process. you should get progress using this method

I assume you have cleaned all the ground connections too to make sure you have a good ground? just a thought, i always start with my ground connections for troubleshooting electrical problems and go from there.( former a6-e electrician)

I liken scooter repair to lawn equipment repair/ motorcycle repair. as the motors tend to be similar to weed wackers and such but bigger of course, then there is the drivetrain which is similar to motorcycles and some belt drive go carts. but then again i had to learn mechanical repair due to necessity of no cash for repair shops.

just take your pizza bag to any big box store and start shopping containers till you find one suitable to your needs, otherwise i could prolly get a buddy of mine to weld some out of lightweight aluminum and start selling them .

If you have a mechanical bone in your body you can tear down a carb, the main thing is not to go too crazy by unscrewing everything if you dont need too, personally i would use synthetic gear case oil as it lasts a lot longer than reg gear oil, same with the reg oil

umm i noticed this little button called bookmark at the bottom of these threads and when i want one i just click the bookmark button and now it is bookmarked to my account here, so how hard can it be to find again? sorry but a newbie observation about this site , this site uses bookmark versus subscribe to post. once you find or want a good thread just click it- is this a new feature of this site?
