am a newbee to scooters i have worked on motorcycles but first scooter mod. and no i havent rejeted yet. i have an 80 on hand woud that work or should i go bigger. as for raising the needle-where is it and how do i adjust it? as for the cam i thought it was needed with the bb valve head that i will install as soon as i get the non egr cover. any help from an experienced scoot wrencher is appreciated

i just finished installing a 72cc cylinder,an A9cam but kept stock valve head till i get the non egr valve cover.it also has a performance exhaust, an orange no rev limit cdi and iridiom plug.now for the help it idles at 2100 no mater what i do till it warms up then idles to a stall and when i get to full throttle it acts like it wants to stall. also before the big bore kit it ran at 9500 at 45 now it only does 40 but tachs out at 8000 some help pleas Read more: scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=register&thread=4843&page=1#ixzz1ViJG95qW |

hi you might try getting an unlimited rev cdi- i have a tomos nitro 50 it did 32 before i put the no rev limit cdi on it it now does 40 to 45 bot runs into 9000 at 45. so my next step is the cvt and clutch good luck with the 80 i thought about doing that but the cops can tell by the id number on block what size it is. if you go with a big bore its harder for them to prove and you dont have to title it.

thank you that helps alot- one more question- the big bore kit came with a standered 72cc head but no egr-can i use it and eliminate the egr tubing without modifing the carb.?

i just bought a big bore kit for a gy6/qmb139 50cc engine. my question is can i use the stock valve head with a 72cc cylinder without causing damage to the piston or head.?

hi im new to this forum but if you are looking for a cheap no rev cdi then try scrappydogscooters.com they have several for 29.95 just make sure which one you have-a/c or d/c fired. easy way to tell is the connector. the two wire connector will have two wires for a/c and one wire for d/c
