Thanks guys, and Mike, I actualy found the ones I saved but couldn't find from my old top end. Gonna pull it all off this weekend and re-mount it. And see if the 161QMK top end from runninglsow will fit without me boring the cases.

Exactly that, why? and can other materials be used? Also, could missing one of the cylinder bolt guide pins cause enough problems to cause a leak? I am talking about the little sleeves that fit over the bolts and into the slots in the head and cylinder to guide the bolts.

I was looking at a simila idea for my cusom this winter. Talked to a fab guy locally who builds custom mounts for Ruckus projects and we basically decided the engeneering for a double was not worth it and I would use a single heavy ATV style shock. The mounting of the second shock is what gets sticky with welding on a new mount either front or rear and then atatching it to the motor somehow.

Yep, we had to cut a hole in the headder and weld in a 18mm nut to screw the sensor into. Works great so far, my idle is still rich, but runs fine, my mid and top end are about as close to perfect as I think It will get and I am now getting 64mph (yes on GPS) on the top end. now for the 61mm top end and maybe 70mph, doubt it though. I think I will get to 65 easier than I do now, and get there with more athourity.

I replaced my OEM one (like the top photo) with the bottom style and have had no problems.

Genuine Stella

The Stella's are very popular here and seem to be very good quality. One of them (an '05) was in a spectacular crash during the gymkhana at the Last Days of Summer rally here last month. Took a jump, rider hit the gas just as it bounced on the landing, it went out from underneath him and rolled like three times. broke the headset and handlebars, but teh thing still ran, and hell, the headlight still worked. All of the damage was cosmetic. I was very impressed with how it handled the crash. If/when I get a "vintage" style scoot, it will probably be a Stella. prices on the new 2T ones here in Salt lake are in my opinion rediculously low and will only get lower as the 4T ones come in. If you shop around here, you can get brand new ones with warranty, etc, for $2,500 or a little less.

, the 11 pole stator is something I am considering for the Punisher, and the new project will definately have one. Since I am putting in the dual battery, I may get to this yet.

I will post pics when I do this this week. I have a trickle charger that I have plugged in almost all of the time now because I have a power drain (I think it is my O2 gauge) somewhere that will drain it in three days or so if I don't ride everyday.

and if you loose the clip again, you can take it to an auto parts store and they usually have a selection of "C" clips for various applications and small enough ones to replace the clip on your needle. That is what I did with my old vac slide carb and it worked fine.

OK, I want to put in a second battery that I have. I know there are two ways to hook it with the existing one. I am normally very good with 12v electrics but have never hooked up two batteries. I clearly want the charging system to charge both batteries, and when I plug in my trickle charger for it to charge both, and if I have to big of load for both to be used. I think the two main ways to hook up are in the bellow very rough drawing. Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
