My name is Brandon, whats up to all the scooter people out their? I have a MC-75-150 scoot, love it, have big dreams for it if the wife does not kill me over the money part of it . This is what I have so far: took the stock 150 off and got the 161QMk, this is a 170cc matrix 2 type engine, then put on a 30mm racing carb with manual choke and 135 main jet, a cr7 iridium plug, MRP coil and adjustable cdi box, carbon fiber racing pipe, a custom header, and I put in the a10 cam. I cant wait to ride this baby but first their is one more thing. I put a pic of what I need to do, can some one help me with some ways to make this happen? I want to go with 2 shocks on the CVT side because I don't have a swing arm now. THANKSAttachments:

Wow, well welcome to the forum. I guess you did tell us a little bit about yourself and your scooter....fair enough. Have you cranked that puppy up yet? If not, that should be a treat. I think you're in undiscovered territory with the two shocks on one side idea, but hey, I'm all for radical ideas. What would be wrong with one mega-shock like they do on motorcycles? I'm sure you'll get a myriad of opinions over the weekend. We also have a member, Steven at MonsterGY6, that owns a scooter busines in Georgia who's into modifications and upgrades; he's one of our banner vendors. Here's a link to his site and there's also a link to his forum where they work on projects such as yours. His URL wasn't working when I posted this but I'm sure its a temporary thing. Keep us posted! Rich

Welcome Brandon. Can't help you with your problem but I'm sure interested in how it works out.

Welcome, very cool project! I have seen a double shock set up like you want to do. They had made up custom mounts. I have no Ida if you can bye anything like that or if you have to fab it yourself. I'm kinda thinking the one big shock Ida would be much easier.

Welcome, it sounds like you have a smoking project going there, can't wait to see how it performs.
Yea, I think Bashan is on it, get a heay duty shock back there, otherwise you will most likely need to have something welded to have another shock put on. They have some that are adjustable for stiffer or lighter loading. Alleyoop

Knowing how most things are built here in China, I'd definately beef up the mounts if you go with a single or even dual shocks on one side.

Welcome to Scooter Doc, Brandon. It does look like an upgrade to the rear shock will be needed to keep that rear wheel on the road. If you can make do with a high performance single shock like Bashan suggested, I think it will simplify the installation greatly. Anxious to see the completed scoot. Here's a site that has some performance shocks: www.scooterpartsmania.com/frame-bodywork-shock-absorber-c-41_71.html?page=1&sort=20a

I was looking at a simila idea for my cusom this winter. Talked to a fab guy locally who builds custom mounts for Ruckus projects and we basically decided the engeneering for a double was not worth it and I would use a single heavy ATV style shock. The mounting of the second shock is what gets sticky with welding on a new mount either front or rear and then atatching it to the motor somehow.
