did you find your new bolts yet? I used a thread finder on my bike when I lost the bolts to my swing arm and brake caliper then I used a thread die to make my own bolts you can find all of this at grainger.com

..
They may remember the problem I had and its been some time now since I have been on this site so I thought I would post an answer to a very hard to diagnose problem.
If you have tryed everything there is to try and your scooter is still not running correctly meaning dieing chugging and not holding speed the problem is that your carb needle guide is warn out to ware the needle keeps jumping out the whole.
Thanks to fx in new Orleans I was able to get this fixed
15,000 miles and still rocking

before you go changing and fooling with all the hard stuff to fix do this take off the intake from the carb and put it back on tight and do this all the way to the air box and that should be a rap. sounds to me like an air leek throwing off the air fule mixture which you think it is also so try the air box down to the carb

Hello, I just made it to 15,000 miles on my tbx-260 xingyue scooter. Today I noticed that my temperature gage was acting irregular when I would give the scooter gas it would go up to the normal area when I would let off the gas it drops below the cold when I am driving at a constant speed it sits ware its syspost to 2nd symptom is that not enough juice was going to my dash after start till I gave it gas. 3rd its holding a fluctuating charge between 12.80, 13.50 not 14`s like it use to.
My guess is voltage regulator what do yall think I dont think its the stator but I could be wrong.

Sure sounds like your Valves closed up. Adjust your valves Dieing out when you stop and hard starting is a sure sign the valves closed up on you. Alleyoop Also what about dieing out when you give it a little gas or try to maintain a low speeds around 0 40mph. could that be valves?

Dirty airfilter will make you run rich and cause sluggishnes starting off and mid-range. So yes check and or clean your airfilter. As far as your rollers you can check them and see if they have flat spots on them, but usually flat spots will give you less top end due to not being able to move up the ramp easly. Alleyoop Thank you ill be back soon with somemore info... Thanks for your and everyone elses help

Brndnpnt, From what you just said about it runs fine when you first start it and then as it heats up it runs like crap. I bet its your valves that need to be adjusted, if you had that much water in there it would be sputtering and dieing at idle and low speeds. It would not run good when cold and then act up on you. Also make sure it is not low on oil, and if it water cooled that it is not overheating. Overheating will also cause what your saying is happening which is not good because that means it is getting so hot it starts to seize. Alleyoop I was also wandering about a dirty air filter.

Its been holding oil fine. I have been changeing my oil with Q_horse power full syn I have not had time to work on it for about a week but I did pick up some new vacume lines 3/16 so Ill see what that does.... also I did see it was a little low and after adding a half of quart of oil it did run a little better meaning stalling less when I start to drive away.... Mabe I should of included that the problem is not so much when I come to a stop but when I take off or make the bike go faster from a stop... When I did the valve is lined up the timeing chain mark with the other mark and set the gaps at 004 on the top and 006 on the bottom.. This is crazy it idels like a champ and drives nice at speeds above 35 40 just cant figure this out.. thanks ALLY Should I look at my rollers?

tbx-260 I did what you were suggesting I also put a hose that i had that was just smaller than the gas tank fill up hole and blew air into the tank pushing out the remaing gas... I also added some heet to the fuel...
I have been working for about 2 weeks on trying to figure out what the problem is with the bike... If I hop on the bike when its cold and take off it runs normal but when the bike starts to worm up it begins to run bad at least it seems after the test drive today. I dont know how much water it takes to make the bike run bad but I know water was there because when I took apart the carb I seen that it was all beaded up in the carb. I hope to have this resolved soon because I use this to go to work :/
all of this just happend one day on my way to work when I got off the I10
Thanks JR

Brndnpnt, The norm of adding an additive to gas is 1 oz per gallon. You can drain the tank by pulling the hose off at the Fuel Pump or Petcock. How did you get water in the tank anywhos? Is your scoot outside all the time, if it is I would suggest getting a cover for it. Alleyoop 1oz ok. I think it was from my gas station. I drive all year hot and cold I think it could also be from condinsation build up in the tank as well. After I run some heet ISO through it and it still acts up I guess I`ll have to move on to what else could be wrong. :`(
