Been trying to find out throuh the papers exactly WHO is doing the voting on this foolishness, but haven't got any responces as yet. I found an old story in the local paper saying any thought of going faster than 25mph on a scooter was "Moped Madness". And these machines are just rediculously unsafe for anyone. I'll just sum that up with. I REALLY HATE THE LIBERAL PRESS! And their aparent desperation to regulate EVERY aspect of our lives!  |

If they pass the laws their working on here in SC to ban scooters, moving to Florida is looking like a for real option! We've started looking at the north east part of the state.

Note: The whole article is based on "mo-peds", yet the chimp that wrote it persists on quoting a couple who as is stated in the same article as owning a 125cc "Motorcycle". What is the relivence of this? GREAT JOB REPORTING! Why not interview an out of state truck driver? Having discussed this as a family now, we'll be moving to NC if this BS passes. |

Great pics, great writeup! I know this is an older post, but with temps getting down in the 30's now (and having a full winters use with this mod) have you had to richen up the mixture? When you start it are you feathering the throttle a little to help get her going? Why oh why couldn't they just put a simple manual choke on these like they do all brands of dirt bikes and quads?!? |

GREAT pics! And it still sounds like a great day out even with the issues. ;D If I were to throw my hat into the ring, I'd say get the jetting right before you touch the CVT at all! Your loosing power because the jetting is off. And WILL notice the power improvement when you get the carb. dialed in right. With the engine pulling harder the rollers you've got may be exactly what your looking for.  Changing the rollers, then dialing in the carb. will have you chasing your tail trying to balance the two. Good luck with the new scoot. Keep the shiny side up! |

I just listened to Jay's latest audio blog and apparently he has the scooter repaired and is going to resume his journey. We wish Jay a safe trip free of any further mechanical difficulties.
