inside the cart return at walmart?! at wallyworld i park my scoot at the bicycle lock up rack just like a bicycle lol. it is interesting to see parking space specifically designed for scooters. that must have been a local picture from PR. IMO as gas prices skyrocket, scooter parking spaces will become more common of a sight. cannot wait for your pics of san blas!!!!! my dad from bayamon showed me some pics he took when he was in pr last year of san blas, he didnt take enough pics of scoots though, it was mostly just the women, ricers, and tricked out motorcycles. im slowly getting him into the scooter scene. he wants one set up for wheelies, as for me im just going for top end.

i like how it has celsius for our docs who dont use fahrenheit like normal people ( lol ) but i was thinking about it and there are other mods that i want to do other then the oil cooler as that would be rather expensive. so where would you put one of these at to accurately monitor your temp?
Edit: on and was just wondering, who put the actual pic of the sticker on my post? i was going to do that but didnt lol.

Hello fellow docs. Just wanted to share my good experience with you all. A couple of days ago, I found myself itching to do a significant mod to my scoot. I already had the high flow exhaust but not the rest of the high air flow setup. upon inspecting my stock air element, I discovered that it was cracked. I searched for a few days to no avail. Nobody sells the style of air element that i needed. Later on that week, I found myself looking at John's ( tvnacman ) online storefront. I then realized that I just stumbled into my remedy for my broken stock air filter, and my modding needs. I was only going to get an after market air filter for my scoot, but after seeing his AWESOME prices ( sorry for typing so loud ) I had to buy more! I ordered a racing CDI, a racing coil, and the air filter. Not even 5 hours after my pay pal cleared, he had a tracking number for me, and on top of that, the order came in 3 days! If your looking for exceptional ( tested ) parts for your scoot and dont want to pay what most other people charge, then I would personally recommend john's storefront, he will take care of you heres a link to check his visual store front. just shoot him a PM for the rest. s1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc483/tvnacman/parts/

the carb cleaning tool set has small pins designed to clear out the jets. BUT like sprocket mentioned, you dont have to buy one! he said you can use a B string ( which is the string before the last string ) or a wire tie. you could use a wire tie from a loaf of bread but i would go with the longer ones that come in some packs of garbage bags. dont forget to strip the plastic coating off lol. theres some good instructional vids in the tech section that bashan posted that how how to clean the carb using the tools ( or b strings or wire ties ) hope that helps, hate to see somebody spend money they could have saved. if the timing was off i dont think it would idle good. it would have equal effect on the idle as it does giving it throttle. it might not be the same but ive gotten timing on vehicles a link off and they wouldnt even start, they had to be dead on. but again on vehicles theres alot more systems that rely on the timing being spot on.

im positive you got the tdc on point if not within a link away from true tdc. i set it on mine using a feeler and it works just fine, im sure your throttle issue is something else.

yeah thats what i was wondering because of the plastic case on the motor you cant put it in a good spot, but if one were to get an oil cooler, then you could attach it to that somewhere. im also looking into building my own oil temp gauge. pics coming soon for that one.

dont spend money on a carb when yours is fine. just get your hands on one of these! you dont have to get this exact one but you can pick one up from any tool store, and maybe for cheaper. if your bike has been sitting for a very long time, it is gummed up for sure. just a simple soak and spray will NOT completely clean it out. you need a carb cleaning tool set. scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=150cc&action=display&thread=270&page=16

just some thoughts, i would check out this video, i couldnt do a better job of explaining on how to clean the carb out. i know you probably know how to do it well, so just making sure your doing a thorough job so we can rule that out as a symptom. also your enricher might be getting stuck. i would bypass that if you are close to sea level or have warm weather mostly year round. another idea is to check for shorts. make sure to check the continuity of all of your wires. i had a power wire melt because it got too close to the little exhaust tube that recycles exhaust back into the engine just under the valve cover. i soon after replaced the wire and made sure all of my wires were zip tied tight to the frame. also, i would make sure that all of the wires going to plugs were snug, then follow up by dabbing some silicon in the plugs where the wires go into the plug so it holds them in tight. as far as the battery goes, get a new one asap. they arent cheap but you will need a new one. if you have to frequently charge your battery, chances are you have a bad cell or two. i started having to charge my battery twice a week, that turned into once a day untill i was tired of doing so. i purchased a new battery and alley helped me find out that i had a bad ground, which leads me to another mod for you to do. you should have two grounds, one close to the battery somewhere, and one on the cooling fan case. on the ground closest to the battery, take it off, sand it down to bare metal, install it again but this time add a new wire ( nice thick wire ) and run it to a bolt on the valve cover. then take the ground wire from the cooling fan case off, and run it over to the valve cover as well. somthing else to try, sometimes the magnet that passes by the pickup gets a little corroded or rusty, lightly sand it back to a shine, that will insure that you get optimum spark. just for fun, go ahead and take a peek into your CVT case =) hope something here helps you. extensive carb cleaning video: enricher bypass instructions by bashan : scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=techtips&action=display&thread=4574
