thanks alley for the picture! most people just use gasket sealer and clog up the holes, i prefer the gasket method because if you decide you want it back or actually need it back, you can just remove the gasket and bolt it back on without having to worry about peeling off glue and fighting to get the glue out of the small holes. like i said, these are virtually useless at sea level and in the warm florida climate. if you do decide to go on a " spectacular journey " out of state to a cold state or a state with a higher elevation then sea level, i would put my enricher back on. thanks again alley!

maybe you can also check your vac lines to see if your leaking any air. also i had a bad exp with the intake manifold boot ( the big thick gasket between the manifold and the engine head ) the factory had installed it half on. it only goes on 1 way. because if was half on, half of the boot was hanging in the middle of the intake port, causing very poor air flow. i would check that just for kicks. also there is a mod you can do to bypass the enricher but thats only recommended in warm regions close to sea level or at sea level ( florida lol ) you can take your enricher off ( not the top plug part ) but the whole piece the plug goes into. take that off, cut a gasket to fit all of the holes you will see when you remove the housing, then put your gasket there, and install the piece again, then you can remove the plug from the housing, and then remove the wire plug end from the wire harness. then you might want to readjust the carb. all the enricher is good for is starting. ive done the mod to mine and it starts off first start every time. no difference after long rides.

the pink vespa is a response to yamahas ray scooter which is also just pink. for the women, and men who swing the other way. i would say the ray wins with looks but vespa has a good rep so im curious as to which of the two will sell more. will have to wait and see. what i dont see is buying a new scooter as nice as those and driving it in traffic like that, it would be totaled in a couple of days lol. that Quarantasei is very strange looking. the seat looks as if it would snap off after a few good dukes jumps.

Some people also put a switch on one of the headlights... so they can turn it off during the day and then on at dusk. I have seen a number of motorcycles that are like that, one light is low beam and the other high beam.. the high beam is shut off during the daytime... Im not sure what the laws are in your state, but here in the sun shine state, it is mandatory for any type of street legal motor bike to ALWAYS have the running lights on ( a running brake light and a running head light on low beam ) if the bears see ya without one on they will pull ya over not fun. i had a charging issue similar and alley walked me through what i should look for. at the time i hadnt touched a scooted although im an 8 year mechanic ( diesel and automotive ) but never have i messed with a small, fragile, bike like vehicle. i was afraid to break it worse so i consulted with alley and a few others who were experts on these things and they helped me, which was just a bad ground. like alley said, the china men are great at painting. so i had to dremmel down the ground and add a new ground to the valve cover.

cops have something WAY better then spike strips, its a new invention they came out with about a few years ago. its a net system designed to tangle up in the 2 front tires and make them stop. but that would get costly as im sure its a 1 time use thing, unless they hire somebody to untangle the mess after they impound the car lol.

maybe the factory installed the latch mechanism on the scooter backwards. on my scoot, the factory put the rubber intake manifold boot on half way, like the boot has to holes, and theres 2 bolt coming up from the engine and the boot goes on the two holes, well the boot was only on 1 of the bolts and was half way blocking the intake hole, how the hell they screwed that up is beyond me. so try taking the latch off ( should be only two 10mm bolts holding it on ) and see if you can flip it around, or try flipping the latch on the seat the other way. i think one or the other might be flipsered up side down. just an idea. did you ever find a 100% waterproof scooter condom yet?

i will set them to whatever is known to work, i do know that i would rather set at .004 and .005 instead of .004 / .004. i should first check to see if its at the correct measurement before i go through with it. THANKS a BUNCH for the adjusting tips as i would have found the TDC first and then adjusted.

yup and the $800 scooter will cost $2000 or more. dont worry, our good buddies in china will find a way to make it super cheap and keep the costs down, they might add an extra pound or two of lead but atleast the costs will remain down.

sprocket, is that trick a tried and true method? ive never though of using a can, how creative! @ jct, thanks for the advice about the tools. i used to be a diesel mechanic for about 4 years, a back yard dirtbike mechanic, and at the moment i do any repair to any vehicle. im in the middle of an engine swap for a neighbor on his 96 gmc sanoma with the 6 cyl vortec. ( i mention the engine type because people who know anything about that engine know they are a pain lol ) so after about 7 years give or take ive accumulated alot of tools so i should have a 9mm, if not i know where i will be going lol dont know about painting it though but its always good to keep tabs on your tools. i LOVE to work on anything with wheels and i enjoy learning new things about scoots as i have just recently stepped into the world of scoots. sproket when you double over the strip from the can, do you fold it over and squeeze it tight with a pair of pliers or maybe a table vice? or do you just fold and go?

i had my tent carport staked down with the screw in dog chain anchors. the carport had 6 posts but i only put one on each corner and not the middle ones. yours will be good just staked down though. i was asleep and a weak twister is what ripped mine out of the ground and threw it over the house, the tarp believe it or not is still in great condition, as for the tubes, they look like a bunch of tangled pretzels. last year i had a 200$ electric pressure washer come up missing, the "punks" got to it. i have since then put a 4 camera security system around my house with 1 aiming at my wood gazebo where i lock my scoot up at night. if i see anybody at strange hours my .38 handles the rest. now careful how you word things straightbangin, some of the people on this site are a little older then us and you might cause their pace makers to malfunction...

this is what the muffler looks like. i was going to take pics of me removing it and stripping the rivets from the muffler but my woman was on the phone while i was doing so, then when i was dl\one i was fighting with muffler for several hours. ( use an android because im too cheap for a real camera lol ) heres what the muffler looks like. now it might look bad but its just the resin off of the pipe, there are NO leaks in it what so ever.
