Hey thanks for the impute guys. I am leaning towards the Kymco. It's quite a scooter for the price....especially hearing these testimonials about them.

Hey guys, I have been thinking of getting another scooter. Right now I am looking at the Kymco Like 200i (163cc) or another Honda Elite 110. I love EFI on both. The extra power is not really a factor. Kymco is air cooled vs Honda liquid cooled.
I don't know about Kymco's durability.
I guess I just want to know if Kymco's are as well built as Honda's
Thanks

My 150 cc did the same thing. A minuki high flow fuel pump fixed it. Does it happen all the time or just when you are at the top end? And does it bog for a bit and then run fine after a bit? If it does that sounds like the fuel pump
One other thing you mentioned is the gas tank vent being plugged. That can cause a fuel flow problem.

I have the whole thing stripped down..well just the crank is attached. I have been cleaning all the parts and chrome. Just ordered new cables for brakes etc, and new rings as I broke the old ones trying to put the motor back together.
I spend $65.00 bucks...total investment $245
Before I stripped it down I was able to get it running and cruised around the block a couple times, so at least I know everything is functional. I will have my wife take some pics soon so I can post them.

I spent part of the day riding and part changing the oil on the motorcycle. That sounds like a great day... ;D

I paid $4.09 for gas for the car yesterday. I'm going over the bike and scooter to prep them for the upcoming season. I'm going to let the car sit a lot more and reap the benefits of good mileage. I save about $6.00 every time I use two wheels instead of four to go to work. I would be excited to see $4.09. We are up to 4.50 now for the regular stuff. However, much it is across the country, it sure is nice to have a scooter to save money...and of course, they are a blast.

Look at the Dr. Pulley thread. I started it, so look for beachbum. It has a great write-up by Alleyoop about weights, variators, gears, etc. it will give you some good insight.

@ gysixxer: I did not weigh them..no scale. However, I tried to research as much as could about the weight of the stock rollers, and determined them to be 13g. Therefore, I went with 13g sliders, and so far I like the performance.

I went for a test ride with my new Dr.'s. I noticed a couple of things right away. 1) it is much more quiet than the "flat spot" rollers ihad on before. Many times it sounded like a bearing was going out. 2) I have more top speed. I gained about 5mph.

Yea Im going to go back tonight and re-adjust them. I'll try .004" and .005". On all the other bikes I've worked on getting the valve cover off was a piece of cake. The cover comes right off and away you go. I couldn't get the cover past the rocker arms or the gas tank so I had to loosen the plastic so I could bend it enough to slide the cover out. I ended up taking the seat off, underside floor cover, and loosened up all the plastic near the engine. It took me about 2 hours to get everything off and about 10 minutes to adjust the valves. F#&K! Anyone know how else to get the valve cover off easily? I'm not looking forward to it I have the Verona, which I believe is the same bike with a different name. I take the seat bucket out and then I can get the valve cover from the the top. Once loosened I pull off through the bottom. It's tight, but it slides out. Hopefully, that is the same for you.
