I was watching ufc and saw and advertisement for the Star Motorcycle line, after looking it up I saw they are from Yahamaha. They have a huge line of big v-twins. Not bad looking.

It won't be publicly shown until the Sturgis Rally in August. I'm guessing they're using this to stir up advance orders. If the first bike just left Spirit Lake there will be crates and crates of them by the time they show it. It's called "Using Hype to Create an Image". Harley has been selling their bikes by the thousands this way and Polaris is availing themselves of it. You can't know how much I'm loving this campaign. I googled the heck out of it, thinking I was just missing it somehow. Well, they have me curious. At the $18000-$ 19000 range I think they really going to sell a lot of bikes. Competition is always good for consumers. |

omgOSH!!!, it was just last 3weeks when we had a sand blast or wind gust here in AZ 45-60 wind...i rode my scooter to work, in the morning the sky was still calm,but in the afternoon when i was going home,it was crazy...wife and gf told me to stay at work for a while until the wind subside, i told them ahh heck it's nothing,shyet not until i braved it,,OMG, there were at least 4-6 times that the strong wind almost tipped me over,no lie...PLUS the wind slapped me with tons of dust and sand,,my neck was all red when i came home.   I believe it...I got sand blasted too. It felt like 50 people were shooting bb's at me. My half shell was trying to rip off my head, and left a bad rash under my chin. |

A friend and I set off from LA to Lake Havasu (300 miles) for the first long road trip on my Softail. The cross wind was so bad that we were riding so leaned over that it was scary. I looked at my buddy in front of me and his bike looked like he was at a 15-20 degrees lean to compensate.
I got about 50 mpg's on the way out, but when we came back the wind was coming straight at us, and I dropped to about 38 mpgs.
I was hanging on for dear life. My whole body hurts from it.
Any stories about your worst riding conditions?

These carbs are cheap. If you end up wanting to rebuild or buy a new one, just get a new one.

Well, lets see here......I believe it's your carburator switch. You see when it doesn't function properly your left rear tire will always be out of balance.

There were no wires going to the CVT. Its EFI so I guess I don't have a cdi, I have an ecu?? I'm going to try and find a pic of it online.
