I wouldn't be surprised if all states eventually close the 50cc "loophole".

Got a note from Jason at Bintelli that they are following Lance's lead and aligning with a Taiwanese scooter maker. Bintelli will become the new US distributor of Adly Scooters. They will run the business's as two distinct entities. The first two Adly models are slated to be 2-stroke 50cc's. www.hercheemoto.com/scooter/index.htm

If no one from Scooter Doc buys this scooter, official notice will be given that there can be no more belly-aching about how there are no good deals anymore.

The body style of the Tao Tao Evo 150 is one of the most popular 150 styles out there. That means that just about every Chinese scooter maker has that bike in their line-up.( ie Puma Eagle, Wolf EX 150, etc etc.) So now it just becomes a matter of the "guts", or what quality lies under the plastics; and how well they want to warranty it. The adage, you get what you pay for, holds true even in Chinese scoots. The FOB cost of a Tao Tao Evo, based in Dallas, is $675. Since a lot of the drop shippers are based in Dallas, the question then becomes, who's willing to make the least amount of money on a drop ship deal. And who made the best LTL shipping deal.
From Killer's website "For ANY unit you choose to Assemble yourself, a PDI - Pre-Delivery Inspection and FULL maintenance MUST be done by a licensed mechanic, This is required for ALL units and dealerships in the USA. By Saving the cost of the Assembly charge you accept the responsibility to do this. This is a REQUIRED step in the Assembly Process. By not doing this step you will be VOIDING your warranty.(90 days parts only)"

Oh, no doubt about it. SYM makes one hell of a bike. And if you're looking to upgrade both in quality and/or size, you seriously need to be looking at this deal. Granted, it does have some cosmetic shop wear, but even with shipping.... you would be nuts not to take advantage of this deal. Dealer cost is right around 4k !

Remember,, it's an '09 Leftover. If I recall there are some differences...but I didn't handle the pre-Alliance( ie: Carter Brothers)SYM's. But still....all in all, even if you factor in shipping... a great deal at less than 2 grand.
