Coil help

I appreciate any and all help but I had put zero miles on it after adjusting the valves a few months ago. Now there's the possibility that I flubbed the adjustment but when I rode it there were no degraded performance issues. It wasn't until after I got off the freeway and slowed for traffic that the problems started. The tow truck driver and a coworker said its the coil. When I did get it started I could rev it on the center stand but it stall pretty quick when I tried to get going. Seems to me like if I could have immediately gotten on the freeway then it would have kept going but I was in traffic. Is there a way to test it like a coli found in cars?

Yeah that's the coil on this bike, one end leads to the spark plug so I'm pretty sure it's a coil. Anyway I'll just order another one from BMS. Anybody want to buy the orange one $10 bucks and it's never been used.

Yeah... I ended up taking the diaphragm out of the new carb and putting it in the old one. I thought for sure problems solved, I even let it idle for quite some time. So I hoped on for a test ride, went about 50 miles on the freeway again no problems. Got off with the intentions of turning around and heading back and sputter, sputter, stall! Had to be towed home. I don't care if I'm dying and that bag O crap is my only hope, I won't try to ride it again! Just trying to get it running so I can sell it.

Good day people! I could use some help with a coil issue, at this point I'm just trying to get this scooter running smoothly and prep it for sale next summer. I refuse to even attempt to ride it any where. So here's the problem... The brown wire connects to the exposed plug and has power going thru it. The yellow at the bottom does not have power going thru it. The green wire connects to the frame. Now I've been told that this coil.... That I bought but never used will work. So I take the brown wire and connect it to the plug and then connect the yellow and green wires to the frame? Is that how this works? The bike keeps stalling after it gets warm but will restart after a short period.

Well I guess I didn't do it right cause it still isn't working right. Now it starts but as it warms it stalls and seems to have a missing problem. If I give it a little gas it stalls almost immediately. I fiddled with the carb but still it's missing and stalling. I'm gonna yank that new carb out and put the diaphragm in the old one and see if things change.

OK set to .004 & .005. I set it so the gauge slides sort of loosely rather than tightly. i have no friggin idea what Im doing here. LOL

OY! I think I've been using the wrong one all this time!!!! My gauge set has two numbers on each one, I've been using .0015/0.04mm & .0025/0.06mm. Now I see one some that have .004/0.10mm & .006/0.15mm. This stuff is confusing.

OK so apparently I lack the brains to properly perform a valve adjustment so I most humbly ask for assistance from those with more mechanical know how than I have.
Look, I WILL be selling this god awful albatross next summer but I had hoped to at least get a couple days of use per week out of it for the rest of this summer. This would really help me save some cash for a nice used motorcycle now that I have my M1 license but at the rate this thing is going I don't think I'm gonna make it. It started stalling couple weeks ago so I adjusted the valves. The stalling went away but it would barely do 55 m.p.h! So my coworker said I have them too tight. So couple days ago I loosened them up and thought everything was good, speed was back up to 60 m.ph. but it stalled when I got home. I thought maybe the carb need readjusting but I didn't touch it. Now on the way to work every time I stop it stalls! If I wait for a little bit it starts up and once I get going it runs but hasn't really got any pull. So am I correct to assume the valves are too loose now?
Oh yeah it's a linhai clone and the intake is on top correct? And it should be set at .004 & exhaust at .006?

Does anyone know what kind of CFM's the electric fans on the BMS 260 style scooter is putting out? I want to see if I can find something cheaper on eBay rather than buying a new one for $50+ bucks on bmsmotorparts.com

Since everyone thinks it's the valve I went ahead and readjusted them haven't gone for a ride yet. The fan has definately quit working there is power going to it but it's not working. Is it common for these fans to quit? I'm only on 5525 miles.

It's less than 2K miles since I adjusted the valves so I don't think that's the problem (I could be wrong). It starts easily and I don't have to floor it to get it going. It just isn't idling that well and the problem on really starts when it gets warm. Is the fan control that round thing connected to the radiator? If so both wires are still connected to it.

So I'm riding to mom's house today and it's about 100+ outside. Everything is good till I get to a red light and then the stupid crapmobile stalled. It started right back up but I had to immediately take off or it would stall again. Also, I noticed the temp gauge was higher than usual and the reason for that was the fan wasn't running. What the heck is going on now???

I thought about doing that when I first got the carb but didn't! (Doh!) Maybe I'll try it over the weekend.
