OK. So I put a new carb in the old crapmobile (and by the way I'll just call it a Xyingyue 260 cause I really don't know which brand it is) cause the diaphragm fix just wouldn't work. Seems to work pretty well but as always there are problems. I have hesitation in the 5 to 10 mph range, it will back fire too if I hold it there. Twist the throttle a bit more and problem solved! Best way I can describe it is like the engine is not getting enough fuel. I've readjusted the carb but no change at all.
The next problem is speed. It now goes faster than I've EVER seen it go.... When there is no wind that is! I went to work one night and the wind was blowing pretty good and I had to hold it wide open just to stay at 55 mph. The damn thing just wouldn't pull but if the wind let up even a little speed began increasing. Also, I used 3/4 of a tank just getting to work but on the way home the wind had died down and I was able to cruise @ 55 mph and made it back on 1/4 of a tank. Surely there is something wrong here right? Wind cannot affect these god awful things that much can it? All the hoses (fuel & vac) have been changed and I've FINALLY got the entire intake system to stay put. I checked the intake manifold and it's not cracked, so what is the problem now?

A BMS TBX260, I know where to find a new one but that $60+ bucks leaves a bad taste in my mouth! Surely there has to be some cheaper used options. I might give that do it yourself lowe's option a try.

Old cars have the junk yard so where do old scooters go? I need a windshield! And $60 bucks is a bit steep for a new one.

That is the exact one I have and it didn't work. But maybe you'll have better luck.

Don't care for the styling at all. Has the same size tires as my bike, even the same Chen Shen brand tires. It looks uncomfortable too but that's just my two cents.

If the darn thing would work regularly I'd happily pay a tad extra for premium. Compared to what I'm paying for regular in the car it's a small thing to live with.

Aparently the future is closer than I thought... For $92K Hell no! But put a Hayabusa engine in it and charge $15K and you got a deal. Crashes well too! Anybody think the Chinese will clone it? LOL

If you mean the Harbor Freight electric impact wrench DON'T bother! I bought and it couldn't do it. I had to go to a cycle shop and get it loosened. I tried to loosen it again later and it still couldn't do it. I ended up using a breaker bar.
Aren't you supposed to torque that nut?

Yep! These diaphragms are total junk! Mine had a 1/4 inch tear and I just got finished repairing mine again. This time I did a better job. I buffed the entire surface, cleaned it and then slapped on a Slime Skab bicycle patch to the underside of the cut. Then I applied a thin amount of silicone all over the rest of the underside. After that I used some silicone on a piece of rubber glove and placed it on the outside of the cut. Now if this bugger pops again then I give up! Since these crappy carbs seem to have a history of bad diaphragms it's funny there is no rebuild kit for them.

No sir! I just don't like it. Even though it's a big sooter it looks like a small kiddie type. The leg position is terrible too.

If I converted this right that's about 21 horses of power and 352 lbs. Gas tank is smaller than my 250 at 3.1 gallons. Looks nice but was expecting much more hp from that engine. I'm not in the market for another scooter but if they price it right (under $2000) and it actuall works, then they could have a winner.
