I'm going to polish the aluminum, leave the chrome alone, and paint everything else gloss black.

Pick 4. Not sure I like the speedometer but will see how the owner likes it tomorrow. I don't really want to change it at this point. Attachments:

Finished the mock up! Now for the hard part. I have to dismantle, clean up the welds, paint and polish, put it back together, and run the wiring. Most of the wiring will be hidden in the frame tubes. Attachments:

To get a simple tax system that is fair for everyone I'm willing to take the hit on my savings. Most of it is in a 401k that is per tax anyway. The best thing about a national sales tax is that the more you spend the more your taxed. If your living large you pay more tax, if you live frugally you pay much less.

Got the mounting tabs removed today. I think it cleaned up the scooter. I hope tomorrow to get the foot pegs mounted. Attachments:

Sounds like an interesting project. I'm not familiar with that scoot so won't be of much help. I would suggest giving MonsterGY6 a call. They do some amazing custom scoots.

I like the idea of a national sales tax instead of income tax. Every dollar spent in this country would be taxed weather it was legally earned or not. Any money you save would not be taxed until you spend it. I read that 2 to 3 cents on a dollar would bring in more money then the income tax. It would also greatly reduce fraud.

Congratulations on having it back on the road! Wish I could say the same. I LOVE the springer from end. It makes me chuckle every time I see it.

Like you I have cleaned many carbs over the years. I hate to admit it but I did have one on a 50cc that I could never get to work. I went through that stupid thing a dozen times to no avail. Finally out of desperation I bought a new one. Put it on, adjusted the mixture, set the idle and its run perfectly ever since.

You may want to consider soaking the carb for 24 hours in carb cleaner. You can get it at most auto parts stores. Comes in a paint can with a basket to put the parts in. I think the last one I bought was around 15 bucks. That was the only thing that got the carbs on my CBR to finally work. Be sure to remove all the rubber parts before you soak it.
