Some people drill holes in the back of the muffler but if your scooter has the muffler I think it dos you will just be making a lot of noise with very little increase in performance.
In my opinion your next step should be upgrading your CVT. A 1500rpm torque spring and some sliders would be q good start. You can then start thinking about performance exhaust, big carb, large valve head, and performance cam.
The thing to remember is that everything works together and just changing one thin at a time will not always give you the results your looking for.
