You are the MAN Justin! Hit oil change button and light is out. Can't believe joker's(I mean owner's) manual doesn't say anything about this. You sure saved me quite a bit of troubleshooting. I had already seen the Yamaha Morphus digital dash that this is cloned from and on that model the oil change reminder light is actually the tilt lock light on ours. So I just figured the oil change reminder was not used. So now I'm wondering... do these things even have an oil pressure switch and if so is it tied into the same warning light? Guess I'll have to go snoopin' around anyway! ;D

Had a nice ride tonight... a cool, crisp, Pennsylvania autumn evening. RT(reverse trike) was runnin' good, stopped in to see my Dad, watched a little football... then the oil light came on on the way home. I couldn't hear any engine noise but I wasn't gonna take a chance so I pulled over and checked the oil. Full and clean. Started engine--no engine noise, not overheating, no apparent self-destruction. Continued my ride home and made it without issue. So anyone come across a faulty oil pressure sensor? Anyone know where the thing is on a Sunny Roadrunner 300? Oh I'm sure I'll find it but if someone knows would save some time. I guess it's probably a good thing that winter's comin'... I'm gonna need the time to get the new bugs out! ;D

I'm right there with ya about the Piaggio's looks-does nothin' for me. The 500 is a little better but for the price I'd want drop dead gorgeous! If you've never seen one, check out the Quadro 4D--kinda like the Piaggio but better lookin'(to me anyway ;D).

This is Justin's thread so I'll let him answer first then I'll chime in with some of my own input. In the mean time you can check out some of the comments in "trikers alley" or search Sunny Roadrunner 300 or MC_D300TKB and you'll find a lot of stuff from Justin, me, and daddue about our trikes. Oh yeah, if you're lookin' for that kind of horsepower you're gonna need to look at a Piaggio... more horses, much better quality, and a LOT more $$$.

No worries-take care of the important stuff. Sorry about fire comment, wasn't meant to open up an old wound. Take care and drop a line on the forum from time to time to let us know how you're doin'.

"Little Sunny" is best lookin' of the bunch imo! ;D How's that thing runnin' Justin? Here in PA it's been either stormin' or cold as you know what so haven't had mine out in a while but this weekend is supposed to be nice... yay! You ever ride one of those Can-Ams? I rented one before buying my Sunny trike so you can guess how I feel about them. They're not bad lookin' and they're fast and I really liked the semi automatic transmission(thumb paddle shifter). But they don't TILT! And comin' from a motorcycle background I really like to tilt and lean into turns. Man oh man does that take some getting used to when you first start ridin' one. I felt real uncomfortable at first but the more I road it the more comfortable I got. But there was absolutely no way in hell I was gonna spend four times as much on that thing(or about eight times as much for a full up touring model) and sacrifice one of the reasons that makes ridin' so enjoyable... tiltin', leanin', and carvin' up some twistys. Even if it's just a slow speed stroll through a local park it's just so much more fun when you're leanin' into those turns. Bang for the buck is extremely high for me with my Sunny Roadrunner. Hope you're enjoyin' yours too!

The black plastic piece is just a cover for the axle nut(I was curious and removed mine) so it does not have to be removed. Getting at all those bolts with the body on doesn't look like a lot of fun though.

82 MPH!!!!!!!!!!! THAT'S RIGHT, I GOT HER UP TO 82 MPH TODAY!!! Yeah, yeah, it was a slight downgrade and little to no wind, but 82 MPH!!! Out of a 300cc(not even) engine with no mods!! Reached 82 at redline of 7000 rpms. Took note of mph at lower rpms and pretty well matched what you are seeing Justin. I'm not a huge guy(185 lbs) and I don't think that you are either so your trike should be doing a lot better. Have you found anything yet? If your cvt belt looks ok I'm wondering if your carb is set up right. Hope I don't sound like I'm rubbing it in 'cause I'm not... just had a real nice ride today and everything seemed to be working right for a change. I made a slight mod to the suspension but I'm gonna see how it works out before suggesting anyone else try it. Let me know how you're makin' out.
