I recently changed my wifes coil from a standard to a high performance.Since then,we have blown two head lights on her lance vintage.Would the new coil be responsable for this?

YAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! New carb was the answer. She fires up and purrrrrrrrs like a kitten. I also put a performance coil and CDI on it and she is ready for a road trip. We are planning a trip down to Truman lake in Clinton Mo. in a couple of months. Thanks for all the responses very much appreciated !

I have a 2008 JCL 250-A. The front suspension is very stiff. Is there a way to soften it up? My wife has a lance vintage and her scooter it like gliding on air.

For some reason even after the scooter warms up if I take my finger off the hole and stick the enricher back on the scooter dies.It wont stay running for me to find an adjustmen. The enricher is working properly.A new carb is only 34.00 so I figure what the heck. Thanks for the responses. This site is a true value.

Ok, I finally had some free time today. When the enricher is cold it mic's out 2.822 when hot 2.985. I have adjusted the valves. Still the same thing. As long as my finger is over the hole where the enricher slides into it runs perfect. After a few minuts of running when I place the the enricher back onto the carb and it dies.I have also done a detailed cleaning of the carb. At this point it will only run with the enricher out and the hole coverd.

Thanks for the response.I have done a valve adjustment.Sorry for not including that.I have not ran it long enough to let it warm up with my finger covering the choke area.It does run as if the choke is fully engaged with my finger covering the eleclectic choke port.Sorry if I'm not using the correct terminology.I put a micrometer to it and the chock in the cold position is .2800 when running it is at .1900.I'll try it tomorrow and let it warm up and give you a more informative answer.

My wife has a 2008 Lance Vintage with 360 miles on it. When I try to start it ,it will run for about 3 seconds then die. After several attemps I decided to pull the carb off and do a through cleaning to the carb.It still did the same thing so I took off the electric choke and coverd the hole with my finger and it started and ran perfect. So i figured it was a bad choke and orderd a new one.I installed the new choke today and nothing. The same issue. Any one have a clue?
