I agree I know of half dozen current importers that have the same VIP style (not to mention all those that went out with the economy in 08) so the name is not very helpful but a picture is.

That is the new SSR Laser 6 coming out soon. That shot looks like it came from the Indi dealer show where it was on display.
MSRP should be round $1,000 more or less. The 70cc minibike top end bolts on to it for more ooph.

If this is any indication... I recently tried to order parts for a customers scooter only to find out that I was unable to log in using my dealer ID. Turns out we are no longer even listed on the dealer locator's page. This has happened to a whole slew of scooter only dealers. We have not heard a peep from CFMOTO management in over a year. We have sold and serviced CFMOTO products since 2005 ( back when they were Baron). To be so callously disregarded in such a manor only speaks to the current crisis within CFMOTO US. By my reckoning, we've sold over 300 CFmoto scooters in the past 8 or so years. Many are still within the warranty period. I finally was able to speak to the new service department head, and his advise was to search around for a surviving dealer and see if they will sell us parts. Their goal is to be associated with "big name OEM" dealers. Good Luck with that. ( Um, side note... KYMCO has already done that very successfully...and with a full line, I might add) The up-side of the whole mess is that we aligned with SYM...and their product and customer service leaves CFMOTO in the dust. I went to the Indi dealershow last year (I was dealing with Massimo). Stoped by there booth to BS and look at the new offeings (had SxS only on display) Went to there web site 2 weeks later for availability so I could place an order and found out they made a deal with Tractor supply and dropped ALL there dealers. There website only has SxS's now. Never sent me a e-mail or anything. Glad I found another distributor that works with me not stepping on its dealers. Hodaka Bob County Line Cycles Grovertown, IN |

Is the 15w40 oil good for the warmer months  Right now I'm using 10w40. I'd stick with 10W40. Still 40W when up to temp and 10W flows beter when cold then 15W. Kinda like new cars recommend 5W30 now instead of 10W30. Hodaka Bob County Line Cycles Grovertown, IN |

I was at the Ice Bear booth at the dealer expo looking at the Dart and Magician. Thinking to bad those don't also come in a 50cc motor. to get rount the moped laws.

When I didn't have a car just my trusty 87 HD 1100 I used a thinner oil in the winter (10w40 insted of 20w50) while riding the temp never got above 30 deg, most days in the low 20's the motor never fully warmed up nomater how far I road (longest coldest 23 deg. and 125 miles stoping every 5 miles to warm my hands on the motor) I tryed 20w50 and the motor when COLD didnt want to turn over very fast and the Thick oil wouldn't flow throught the motor properly (oil pressure was WAY up though).

If the above post doesn't fix it You my have seized a ring. I have done a number Toa Tao's this year (and the Toa Tao shop 35 miles away has done more) When you were able to get it running did the speed top out round 20-25 MPH? If so you need atleast a new piston and gasket set. Check the cylinder for scratches from the bad ring. If it stalls when given gas, then when you can get it going you top out at 25mph before it stalls again, that's minimum a piston and gasket replacement? The carb would idle crappy or not start OR it would have no to end Very rare for the Idle and main jet to go bad at the same time (unless it's been setting and the gas went bad. If you have access to a compression tester I bet it's down round 90 PSI (with what your saying). Then I would pull the top end. Hodaka Bob County Line Cycles Grovertown IN. |

Another plus for the Ice Bear's price. You have alot of left over cash for modifications and updates. Kevlar belt, better quality battery, 80cc kit fancy exhaust and still below the Honda price.

When you said the electric start didn't work. Did it turn the motor over or do nothing? If it did nothing the battery may not be up to snuff anymore. (which is why most Chinese batterys have a 30 day guarentee.) Also check the battery fuse.
