k so heres the update, the scooter is sending 15 volts to the battery without the headlight on @3k rpm. I did not do any other voltage tests because i was in a hurry, I figure it drops to a safer number once the 37watt headlight is turned on. It has been driven the past 5 days without any issues, so I am pleased, thanks everyone that helped.

so now its just scoot A with a dc wiring, with a broke 12 pole stator. I switched in the 11 pole minus the black/red magneto. Ill have to wait til tomorrow to start and I will update yall. it ran when I had it wired to the 8 pole, it just did not charge enough, and hopefully this will give enough charge. here is the pic of old stator for tvnacman. If you look at top left of stator, you can see the cut wire.

oh and the original stator on the ac(wired) was 8 pole. the Dc Wired scoot is the 11 pole, and I had to order the flywheel puller. p.s. Thanks bashan for the knowledge bomb, i was googling and turning up nothing as clear as this.

Hey all, lets say I have two scoots, scooter A is 150gy6 with DC cdi. Scooter B is 150gy6 with AC cdi. Can i swap motor/stator A into Scooter B with no issue?
I did this and it ran but, I dont think I wired the stator correctly. Stator wires for scooter B are 3 yellow and green(ground). Did not know how correctly. Ill let yall know more and progress develops, its just too cold for working on it right now.

Cool attempt. To get a cleaner look, I would cut the black tip shorter, and try to get the chrome tip as close to the muffler as possible.

I cleaned the carb today, the pilot jet was junked up. I also removed the auto-choke. The rpms no longer jump like they used too.
So Im left with only two issues.
2. Several days after that, the headlights stopped working. One time while riding at night I noticed my headlights were not working. I left it at a friends since my house was 30 minutes away. The next day I drove it home and noticed that they had started working again! The day after that they went out permanently. I have two headlights and two running lights. the running lights work. and I tested the headlight with a different hot wire and they do work. so I believe that problem could be traced to a black box(relay?) on the handlebars with 4 pins. One black, one green, one dark green, and one yellow.
3. Several days after the second issue, my rpm gauge messed up and even when im at 7k motor rpms, the the gauge only will go up to 3500rpm. Possible electrical issue there???

Ok mr. John, Im sorry I took the photos and measurements. but it wasnt my regulator that was bad, I had rigged my lights and that was causing the lack of charge. but I do believe I need this part for my lights if you have it?
