Notice the other hose coming from your Valve cover which is your Valve Cover Vent is connected to that hose on a "T" so there should be a connector someplace on the AIR BOX. That is coming from your exhaust pipe to send any unburned gases back through your carb. Alleyoop Thanks Alleyoop. I just found that a few minutes ago just before reading this post. I could not see the connection before, but was looking for engine pics, and found one showing the approximate location. I went and checked and was able to find the connection at the front of the air cleaner shroud. Now I just have to get a new hose and clamp for it. I found a second hose with no connection on the carb. It shows in the above pic, but I have updated my pic with and arrow pointing to it. I will be looking for info on where this goes, but maybe someone will tell me before I find it.

The tire on there looks like it just clears the exhaust. I could be wrong, but it is a picture. John I measured it and the exhaust is only about 3/4 inch from the front of the tire. I have already determined that there is no way to put the 13 inch tire/wheel I have on this scooter. The swing arm mount hole is about 1 inch farther forward than the other scooter that has the 13 inch rear wheel. Even if the wheel mountings where the same since the 13 inch is about 2 inch larger in diameter then that would put the tire too close to the engine, and definitely the exhaust would be in the way. It was just a thought, and I had not taken any measurements before I posted that question. I bought a 150cc NST branded Shenke manufactured scooter for $100 to use for body parts. It has a L rated (75 mph rated) Shinko 13" rear tire on it that looks new, and thus the thought about changing to the larger wheel. I wish my 250 had 13" wheels. The person I bought the 150 from said it has a burnt valve, but I don't know for sure, and I can see that whoever worked on it did not know what they were doing. It did have a performance coil on it that I scavenged.

You have to take muffler off, swing arm,if you have one (can't see whats behind there and brake caliper, axle nut of course and maybe you shock. Thanks for the info. From looking at the pics in the link above, and your comments, it looks like all of the above.

The 13" wheel I have does have disc brakes. I guess it is mainly a matter of it clearing the swing arm. Once I see how to take the wheels off I can try it. Thanks.

I bought a used JMStar 250, and I need to remove my rear tire/wheel so I can replace the tire, but I just bought this scooter, and have never done this before, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Someone please give me instructions, with good detail. There are pictures below of what the scooter rear looks like. Also, this is a 10 inch wheel. Is it possible to replace it with a 13 inch wheel, because I have one from a 150 that I got for body parts.

Hello all, I recently purchased a used 250cc CN250 clone scooter made by JMStar. I have removed most of the body panels so that I can check the wiring and lines. I am just starting my checks, but have already found a line that is deteriorated and not connected to anything. Please view the attached picture, and let me know what this line is and where it is supposed to connect to. The line is question is the one the red arrows are pointing to. Update 3/25/13 I found where the first loose line goes, but now I found a loose line on the carb. and looking for info on where it goes. See picture in the post below. 2nd Update. Per Alleyoop the second hose is fine because that is the carb overflow. thanks all.
