Good glad you had a good time,,,and for a good cause,,,,,so my boy you considering 2 again?? I've got a Goldwing and Honda shadow sabre sitting in the geerage. Just not totally confident my L leg can hold up 700lbs at a stop light. May get something lighter if I can finger out how to convert shifter without paying $1000 (Pingle electronic shift) But, ya never know. Still looking at a goldwing w/sidecar

Most were older HD riders, so not too many zig zaggers. The old route included some hi way riding, but the civilians tried cutting in and caused some issues And, management broke the group down to a few hundred bikes per group, police escort, cross traffic blocked. All in all safe, but short.
Either way, a good day for a good cause

I rode further from the house to the meet up location than from there to the hosp. seems there were too many accidents in past years so they shortened the route. For the day i did about 100 miles

Did a Toys for Tots ride last weekend. I was the only 'scooter' amongst roughly 3000 riders Got a lot of is that looks and a lot of thumbs up. Met a couple other amputees who gave me inspiration to try two again In preparation i found I was missing a exhaust header stud. Having no time to order, went to Lowes for a bolt with the same thread and bolted the exhaust pipe back on. Works fine so far After the ride to the Children's hosp, went for another ride as the weather was great.

Dave, if you could put up with a hand clutch it would be just engine and not having to adapt things for a auto trans. Be a bit more to handle driving. Did they even have any autos then? Yea, they had auto trans back then, but not popular as it robbed so much of what little power was available. Not sure i've seen a hand clutch, but the VA will only pay for hand controls for the primary car, and my dr doesnt recall ever doing one for a manual trans. Ill finger sumtin out thanx

I rode 365 days in a row some 50 years ago in Iowa. I am sure there were a few days it was well below zero, That's the norm for Iowa in the winter. Short trip less than 3 miles but I still froze. A Honda 50 that never failed to start. Traded it for a Bridgestone. I had a Bridgestone 50 in HS, in South Dakota in thd early 60s. Rode it year round for my paper route. most recently it was 17 on a Dec morning for a Toys forTots run..

I read it wrong. I read that he wanted his ex wife gone, but I'm not in that line of work any more Good luck on the sale. (BTW, I manage to keep my 75 VW Bus running as no one knows what points are)

I was able to adjust my 1100 honda shadow sabre (when i was on two - wheels [and legs I guess too] enuf to compensate for the thinner air
I just forgot if turning the A/F screw IN or OUT made the proper mixture (short of rejetting)
Thanx

So, i finally retired and moved back to Denver. I took the trike (260/300 Linhai) out for a ride before the 0 degree weather hit, and it ran fine, with the exception of it seemed to idle a little low. I know it can be a combination of A/F adj and idle Question, once i find the A/F adj screw,do I screw it IN or OUT? Meaning, I forgot if IN was lean and OUT rich, or the opposite. Other than that, the trike runs great, 64 (indicated), keeps up fine with traffic, accelerates fine up hill, get a lot of looks, thumbs up, stares, 'i wanna ride', is that? Got a few scratches during the move, but nothing serious Just got nothing bad to say about this trike. I'm keeping it for (in town errands) as long as i can ride. (Looking at a Goldwing w/sidecar for cross country trips) Life is good Hope all had a great Veterans Day Ride safe Stay warm (3 degrees today, 19 tomorrow, record low's) that dern global warming thing I guess. Dave

Don't get me wrong, I've been riding for umpteen decades and I just never really cared for those monstrous bikes. I might as well be in a cage for all that. I love the power, but not the fact that it takes a fork lift and 2 grown men to lift the thing if it ever lays down on you. I like my bikes quick and nimble. I don't care to put my blinker on a mile before I need to get over just because I'm riding a tank. And now folks, I'm going to contradict myself..... But I LOVE all the storage you get on one. Every bike I've ever owned with the exception of my Nighthawk, (and it's time is coming soon) has had saddlebags and at least a big windshield or fairing. I ride mostly freeways so I loves me a good windshield. I understand your feelings, but, for cross country road trips, a big bike is a lot more comfortable. I've done cross countries on my 1100 Sabre, and it was fine, but when on my 1200 Goldwing it was a lot easier. And this one will have a sidecar to prevent tipping. I still have a few bucket trip rides to do, and wanna do em in comfort. And, I apologize for hijacking this thread

I'll second and concur with Jim. When I ordered mine, thru Jim, he did in fact keep me informed every step of the way. I did have couple little issues, but they were handled immediately and I was a happy rider. Qhen I buy again, guess who I'm goin thru? Sorry DaveC.... but we're out of business. AAAAAwwwwww man!!! Guess I'm stuck getting a Goldwing then
