We are shooting for 10in rims, that way we can point and say "look, 10 in tires". As far as getting a license that will not work, it is for my son and he can't get it back for about 18 months.

I know that this may be a strange questions, but I want to remove the 12in tire/wheels on my scooter and install 10in. Is this possible? I got a 2007 150cc scooter and it was crashed by the PO. All the plastic is gone and so I am making it into a stand-up foot scooter. In my state the laws are strange and this fits into my needs. No license required for a foot scooter, but they want 10in tires to qualify. Can I just get some used wheels and bolt them straight on, and if so, what should I look for?

Yes, I am aware of all of the info on the tires. I have a Honda Goldwing also and it is a very popular thing to do to the larger bikes. It is called "Darkside". If you run a car tire on the rear you are a Darksider, or if you run front and rear, a Double Darksider. There is big long write ups on the pro's and con's of doing it and there are hundreds that chose to run them. The advantage most see is that they get 25-30K out of them instead of 8K miles. There is even a Darksiders web site with forum. You are given a number when you cross over to the Darkside. There is one guy running them on a Silverwing, but that is all I can find.

Has anyone run a car tire on a scooter. I know there is a ton of opinions both ways on this, keep them to yourself, not interested in oopinions. Has anyone run car tires on their scooter. If so, please tell me about it, size, type, mileage, etc. I have a 250 Roketa, so it is a 13in. Thank you

I have the same scoot as pictured. How does one remove those ugly stickers on both sides? Also someone told me the law says they have ti be on the scoot. Anyone know about both questions? I just used my finger nail, came off real easy.

Yea, that may be the best way to go. I was hoping they might have it already to go through some scooter parts place.

Well, I scuffed my scooter today and need to do a little repairs. Does any one know of a source for the red burgandy paint on the MC-54-250B? Rattle can would be great.

Too bad its not a true 50cc larger. The 250 is 257cc and the 300 is 275cc only an 18cc upgrade.

I built this for my son to ride. We got an old school looking bike from Walmart and an engine kit from E-bay, all told $300. It was a fun build and it is fun to ride.

Well about a month ago I went out and got a Roketa 250B. I have been riding it to work and just for fun. In 3 weeks I have put 750 miles on it and I just love this scoot. Just for fun I had some time off and went to a few motorcycle dealers just to see what is out there. I wanted to see the Royal Enfeild 500. Very cool bike, but was surprised at how heavy and unbalanced it felt. Also, no storage. I then dropped by the Yamaha dealer and looked at some stuff there. I liked the GZ250, but again no storage, the KLR650 is nice, but too tall even for me (6'). They only had one scooter, a People 250. As I rode home I had to stop and get a pizza from Papa Murphy, take and bake style. I got their largest, family size and a cheesy bread with 2 liter soda. Took it out to my scooter and it fit under the seat. I had a bunch of stuff in my cargo box on the back. As I rode home, about 18 miles of beautiful country roads, I thought about the bikes I had seen and about my 250B. I love this bike and it will be with me for a while. I love the storage, the power is fine for me, it is smooth and easy to ride and I love the 76 MPG. I may have to keep my eyes open for another one just like it. Keep Scootin
