I don't see any weekly evening tv shows, I work second shift. I've got my own website that I have to update regularly, so I spend more time on the computer than watching tv. Lately I've been working a lot of overtime so haven't been getting much scoot riding in either, the season is pretty much over for that now until next year.

Yep, I'm 5'11" and wish the scoot was a little longer with a little more leg room though. I have the 2008 Hyosung MS3-250. I love it though, but if I go very much over 50 miles on it I start feeling it in my back. I had a chinese 150cc before this and would never go back. Love the fuel injection, starts right up first time every time. I added a windshield extension which helped a lot, especially with keeping the bugs off my helmet visor. I paid $1985 for mine new off of ebay last year, but had to pay another $460 to have it delivered. Don't regret making the purchase at all, but if I ever find some extra money in my pockets (may be a while) I might look at something bigger.

I put this extension on my hyosung ms3-250 and love it: www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/2710/339/It is adjustable to different positions and doesn't look as huge as the laminar lip. You would need to know which size you would need for your scooter though, I got the VTA8 for mine and it matches the windshield shape and doesn't look bad at all. One thing I like about it is I don't get big bugs splattered all over my helmet visor anymore. It definitely helps with raising the air flow a little higher.

Larry, Sorry to hear about the accident but glad you're ok. Did the repair you just did on the floorboard hold up? At least you are able to still ride it. I just got to ride today after about two weeks of no riding. Working a lot of overtime this month and next so my riding days are limited the rest of this year.

I'm almost afraid to see what my premium will be when it comes due again next year though, with the games that insurance companies play. Will have to wait and see.

My premium with Foremost was much lower than with Progressive. I never went through AARP to get the insurance with Foremost. I wasn't even a member. I just googled 'aarp recommends motorcycle insurance' or something like that and found out that they recommended Foremost.. I went to Foremost directly for the quote. In fact, when I cancelled my insurance with Progressive through my independent agent, I told them I was switching to Foremost. They said they sold Foremost insurance, don't know why they gave me Progressive then. They didn't even realize that Foremost offered motorcycle insurance, they were using Foremost for mobile home insurance. They did a quote for me also and it would have been about the same price as me going direct through Foremost myself. I had already switched, so told them when my first year is up, I might go back to them and get the Foremost insurance through them.

I've had insurance with Progressive for a couple of years, and this year they wanted over $300 for just one scooter. I switched to Foremost and got the exact same coverage for less than half of what Progressive wanted. Sometimes I wonder if insurance companies give us a cheaper rate at first just to get us to switch. I found out Foremost was recommended by AARP for motorcycle insurance so I got a quote, and it sure paid off for me.

I always tell people the first one to come up with the money gets it. I've had too many people tell me they want it and then never come up with the money. But I let people know that up front and don't let them think that I won't sell it to someone else. If I told someone I would hold it for them, I wouldn't turn around and sell it to someone else.

I took a hard drive magnet out of an old computer I had, and it does work when there is a traffic signal sensor cut in the road, usually at left turns. The light does turn green for me now when I stop directly over the cutout, when it wouldn't change before. Several of the lights are still on timers though, so just have to sit and wait for it to change then.
