The wife and I, after years of avoiding it, have got back into watching some TV in the evening. We record on the Dish DVR so we don't have to contend with commercials; maybe that's why. Anyway, what are you guys into and what makes you nauseated? Top five likes, in descending order:- Fringe
- CSI Vegas
- The Mentalist
- Big Bang
- The Daily Show & The Colbert Report (ya' gotta' put them together)
Dislikes:
- CSI Miami (actually kinda good for a hoot)
- Justice
- Detroit 1-8-7
- Hawaii Five-O (another resurrection nightmare)
- Any Reality Show

I don't watch TV! I consider cable and satellite to be a waste of money. I'd rather spend it on gas and accessories for my scooter. You'd be surprised how many people look at me in horror when they find out that I don't watch TV. I have to wonder, sometimes, if those people have lives.

I don't watch a lot of TV either. I'll watch the local and network nightly news, Occasionally the Daily Show & Colbert, sometimes Rachel Maddow. The only shows I watch consistently are "Community", "30 Rock" and "Outsourced".
Things I hate - political commercials, all the commercials for drugs and reality shows.

The wife and I just recently got cable back after a good 2 year hiatus. Since we live in the greater Orlando area, we were able to get pretty good broadcast reception and money was tight. There were only 2 or 3 cable channels we really missed. I also have a HTPC (home theater PC) hooked up to my TV that I built, so I still had DVR functionality for our broadcast TV. (Did I mention I was a geek?) That HTPC also serves as our BluRay and DVD player, not to mention its great for streaming services like Hulu and Netflix (even if I haven't tried Netflix)
Anyway, my current must watch shows are: 1) Chuck 2) The Big Bang Theory 3) Bones 4) Mythbusters 5) Dirty Jobs 6) The Daily Show (I usually fall asleep before Colbert)
(We really missed Discovery Channel when we didn't have cable.)
Shows that I want to watch: 1) Fringe 2) Supernatural 3) Castle
I was a huge fan of Lost, even if the finale confused the hell out of me. Also, despite the fact that most of it aired before I was born, I LOVE catching reruns of M*A*S*H.
Shows I would be watching had they not been cancelled before their time: 1) Firefly 2) Dead Like Me
What nausiates me? 24 hour cable news channels and 95% of the rest of the drivel that passes for entertainment. We really need to have à la carte cable options. I get like 200+ channels on my basic HD cable package. I want about.... 5, plus the networks.

Well, when I was a kid you couldn't keep me away from Star Trek, and when I had a housemate who got satellite, she got me hooked on InuYasha.

JR - "Biggest Loser" - my wife's nephew's wife was some kind of producer on that show - picked the "contestants" - and we refuse to watch it. Personally, I love Clint Eastwood marathons.

How about a couple of our own "reality" shows ?
"Scootin with the Oldies" featuring some of our older (older than me) members?
"Dr JR's Arkansas Cookin" - JR prepares his special Ozark recipes with special guest shots. Luke can do his Asian recipes. I'll do the Feb. 2 segment on how to cook a groundhog?
"Scooter Hospital" where a team of brilliant scooter docs (LOL!) attempt to revive an almost dead scooter?
We already have Josh (Runningslow) and the continuing saga of the Matrix 170.
Something on the order of "Orange County Choppers" where Bashan converts a perfectly nice scoot into a rat bike?
Scooter Five O?
