Ok Ill give that a try. The pump is high on the frame above the gas tank. Ill see if I can move it down 6 inches. The pump is in the original spot on the bike. I just cant believe that they would put it in a bad place. But I do like the idea of moving it. Thought about it, but its in a bad spot to take it off. Ill have to remove all the outside panels just to get to 2 little bolts off. Thanks a bunch!

I do not have a gravity feed system. My tank is under the handle bars by my feet. In the pictures are you telling me that I need to put the fuel line from the tank on the other side of the pump. Where you have labeled it fuel out? The pump is pretty even with the carb. There isn't any kinks on the hoses either. Thanks for labeling my pictures.

Just don't get this thing. I pulled the gas line off and put a suction on the line and gas came through the line. I reconnect it and still no gas. I do have bigger lines on the gas tank and pump. But on the carb has smaller lines. So my bright idea was to put the smaller lines inside the larger lines then I put zip line on them so they are air tight. Still it don't pull the gas through the line. I did notice when I had the bigger lines on the vacuum line I would feel pulsing but not enough to pull it up. I do see the gas trying to move up the line to the pump but doesn't get it to the pump. Any ideas? Thanks for all your help!

It has a fuel pump with vacuum just doesn't seem to pump. It worked for awhile then it stopped. Thought it got plugged up with the gunk in the tank. Thanks for trying to help.

I have a 150cc. I'm just not sure if I have the lines hooked back up right. This is my problem. If I reverse the lines then I see gas in the vacuume line. If I put it up the way it is now it doesn't suck gas out of the tank. I cleaned out the gas tank with vinegar and that really came out great. I also cleaned out the carb because it was stalling out again. Not getting fuel. If I put gas straight to the carb it runs great until its out of the line. In the pictures I have the fuel line going in the bottom of the pump. I have the fuel line going to the carb on the port outside the pump. And the vacuume line is on the port that's is on the inside of the pump. I hope I did not get you guys confused..

I will recheck the valves. Pretty sure I have it right. The bike did not do it much this time around. I did pull out some gunk in the fuel line before I ran it. I know the gas tank is nasty but I want to run some more gas out first before cleaning it. I tightened some clamps on the lines that seemed to help. As for the noise it does not have a huge noise. Just not speeding fast enough then it kinda gets gas and then takes off. One time it did stall out but then fired right up. Thanks for all your help.

When I am going around 20mph or so it sometimes seems like a fuel is not getting to the carb. It does keep running but just seems to be some type of power loss.

I pretty much have gotten it running. Goes down the road pretty good, but then it has some flat issues while going around 20 mph or so. Im thinking that I need to clamp the fuel lines better. I had a vacuum leak on the fuel pump causing the fuel not making it to the carb, also I put the old fuel pump back on guess it wasnt bad after all. Or maybe the the little petcock was just too small? Heck all I know is it is running and I was able to get the idle down to about right. So my question is I hear a pinging noise when its running. Could I have gas in it that does not have enough octane in it or maybe adjusting the valves again. I feel I have the valves about right but maybe just needs to be looser? And the flat spots when going down the road

I've tried to adjust the idle and not having so much luck at it. It seems that it kinda runs out of gas after a min or so. If I keep putting gas in the line to the fuel inlet it will keep going. I can't believe that its the petcock because I already have replaced it. Maybe the carb isnt sucking hard enough? I adjusted the float a bit by moving the tab toward me it seems to have gas in the bowl. When I take it apart. But not enough gas in the line.

Yes the starter clutch is all fixed. I used a impact wrench to take off the stuck nut. Came off pretty easy and then put it back on. So now for getting it so it wont stall out when I pull on the throttle. Any ideas?

Ok now were back on track. Got it all put back together. Starts really good, but something isn't working in the kick starter. Thats a problem for later. So I adjusted the fuel bowl and now shes getting gas in the carb! But when I turn the gas just a smidge it stalls.. So I think its just a matter of adjusting the carb? What do you think?

Thats a diffrent nut. The one that Im talking about is the special nut with 4 slots on top that you need a castle spater wrench to take it off. Should I replace the gasket or could I use a liquid blue gasket instead?

Ive taken it apart today. What a job. So the clutch was wrecked took it off, metal fillings all inside. So cleaned it all up. Put it back on..But I was putting the spater nut back on and it only goes on part way. Im pretty sure it would go all the way to the clutch right. Does it matter which way that nut goes on. One side of the nut looks diffrent. Did I put it on wrong? Is there a way to get the nut off its kinda stuck. I tighten it or loosen it and it just turns. Is there something that I can hold while loosing it? Thanks again!

I was talking about the idler gear on the kick starter. I just have those put back together. I'm waiting on the starter clutch to arrive. Hopefully on Tuesday I'll be able to put it on. Thanks again.
