Got the bike running. It WAS an airflow problem, put the setting all the way in like OEM standard had it. Runs great now.
Now to get the apartment to deal with the damage caused by one of their tow trucks knocking it over.
Cos clearly I am not having enough drama with this bike.

Did that. Mostly, in colder (seems like 50 or less) is needs time to idle and warm up. The autochoke cutting out isn't long enough, it needs another 2-3 minutes after that.
I'm hoping I don't have to resort to changing the idle when the weather changes.

Whew! Much drama, but I think I got this sorted out.
It idles high, then low, then I have to be patient while it warms up. Varies on temp. Texas sun will let it start and go nearly asap. Colder weather takes a few.
Had my friend run over it, tweaked the idle and airflow, etc, and it seems to be fine now.
Thanks to everyone for their help!

Spoke to a local small engine expert and the end result is that the new fuel hose IS too large. The originals are 1/8" stretched over 1/4" fittings like I thought. The carb adjustment was all the way in originally, and would have to go FARTHER in to compensate for the larger hose. When I get time to change the hoses back I'll report back.

If you don't have a meter, some auto stores will test batteries for free. Autozone, for example.

I have to move the bike into storage for a couple weeks. I may yet be able to try that, though. If not I have some of those reverse drills for cutting those out. Just no time for it with the trip coming up.

And the drama continues. I got my good and tough gunsmith screwdrivers and now the inside of the screw is stripped out.
What did they do? Use an air tool to put those in? For real?

This may take a while. The enricher is so tightly screwed in that it just stripped the blades off of one of my screwdrivers. 'Cos clearly I need more drama.

I just checked that hose tonight, but I'll double check others. Several are way longer than they need to be.
I looked up (or tried to) enricher over at eagle atv parts but couldn't find it. Does it have any other names that will help me identify it?

I'm not sure we're running down the right rabbit hole. The engine has less than 1 full hour of total run time since purchase. I can't see how the jets can be clogged.

I couldn't turn it at first (This was after 2 days of trying to find a screwdriver that would fit in the limited area) because it was already all the way it. Once I turned it the other way it started moving. Turned 2 1/2 turns and no change. Turned it in and tried 1 then 1 1/2 turns and no change.

Kinda hard to see, but is the screw supposed to be recessed like that? I couldn't tell for sure and it getting dark anyway. It WAS some kind of cover like a freezer plug. There is a groove on the top that supposed to let you pop it out.

The panel I got from Amazon, but Northern Tool, Harbor Freight, etc will sometimes carry them in the $20 range. Make sure it mentions a circuit to prevent it from draining the battery when it's dark. I also spent $5 for a cigarette lighter to connect it with, though you can open the battery enclosure to attach the panel directly if you don't mind the work of doing that nearly every day for regular use.
The 'Trunk' that came with mine sucks, and doesn't fit my helmet anyway so I am considering mounting the panel there permanently, though that will require a hole in the cover.

IS this the original battery?
I've been told that chinese scoots like yours and mine do not recharge when they run. This isn't true, but the amount of 'recharge' we get from the stator and other parts (No alternator per se, just several other parts that do the same job) is minimal.
I use a $20 solar panel to keep mine charged. It may be that other parts are failing, of course, or that the OEM battery is 4 years old and giving up the ghost.

Another source has told me that it's just a cover that I can pop out with an ice pick. Cross your fingers!
