I forgot to add that I replaced the spark plug too. As I began to take the carburetor apart, I noticed that the clip holding the needle in place is missing. As it turns out, someone has worked on it before me. So, I think I will have to see if replacing the clip solves the problem. Where is a good place to get replacement parts? I saw there is one bad site, shaggy.scooter..... Thank you |

Hello and thank you for any help! I'm fixing a friends scooter that has sat for four years and only has 10 miles.
What I have done:
-Replaced the battery
-Changed the oil
-Checked the air filter
-Cleaned out the gas tank and gas line. Filled with 87 oct
-Followed what alleypoop suggested in a different post, adjusted the carburetor mixture. It runs a bit longer on a leaner setting.
Here is a short video of it starting, running on its own, then dying on its own. If I give it throttle, it usually dies. Sometimes, with throttle it will run for 30 seconds, then die.
Again, any help is greatly appreciated!

The video was sped up about 3x or 4x normal, so essentially, he was scooting along very slowly. The child was in little danger.
