139 ohms sounds excessive, like it's not connected properly. I'm just not sure on that. I wish Rich was still with us, he kept that kind of data in his head.
In the meantime, since it's a project, it's probably time to open it up and look at the flywheel and stator. Make sure everything is correct in there.

This sounds crazy, but is the magnet correctly installed in the engine? If it's backwards, you'll get juice, just not in phase and not enough of it. I've seen so many of these engine get rebuilt and on occasion, things get installed wrong.

I don't doubt you Roy, but it's not the volts we're looking at, it's the amps. How many amps is it pushing thru to the battery? Unless you put a recording meter, or a silly scope on it, you have no way of knowing. You could be feeding it some really dirty power that is still within the voltage limits.

Yep. I think it's flashing left over from the mould. Clean them up and I bet there is no crack. Junk moulds. Used to see that all the time in plastic injection moulding.

If a cloud of smoke is trailing you then to much oil is being injected into the carb and or to much oil is being pre-mixed. Yep yep. That's the easiest way to tell if you have the mix correct. If it belches a big cloud then settles into something you can barely see, then it's Ok. If you can see smoke all the time, then you are mixing way too much oil into the gas.

Tom, Is your engine a 2 stroke?
Do you mix your oil and gas? Do you put oil in every time you gas up? If so, then the kind of engine you have is different like Dent said. But you can still use the Seafoam, and we can adjust the advice we give you.
If you do have a 2 stroke, then you will use up plugs fairly often. I've had to change plugs in a 2T about 3 times a year in an engine that got used every day for hours. (Weed whacker). Your's might be less, might be more often. Depends on how much you ride and how you ride.

AGM's are great batteries but are VERY easy to overcharge. You need to make sure your regulator is not putting out too much juice for it or you'll go thru them like a hot knife thru warm butter.
For a Chino scoot, I'd stick with Lead Acid. They are much more durable in over charging situations.
I have an AGM on my bike, but I also have a really good regulator.
EDIT:
Now that I think about it, this is probably the reason so many people have battery problems like this. Got to make sure your R/R is not blasting the battery with too much. It might be a good idea to add a control resistor right in front of your battery to make sure it's not getting slammed.

I think you're looking for the brown wire in the handlebar area behind all the plastic. The button your pushing is the 'Flash to Pass' button and temp switches from lo beam to hi. Since that is working, you must have a bad connection somewhere they all come together. That would be under the plastics in the handlebar area on that bike.

Anybody ever heard of a swappable gearbox for this bike? I've seen just a couple in my time, but I'd really love to swap out for some taller gears. By the time I get to 40 I'm already in 5th. At least when I'm riding easy for gas savings. An overdrive gear would be awesome.
A 6 speed trans and 6th shouldn't kick in till 55.
Actually, I'd really like it if it were more like;
First 0 to 20 Second 15 to 40 Third 35 to 60 Fourth 55 to 70 Fifth 65 to 90 Sixth 85 to Top End OR Sixth Overdrive.
As it is, I can cruise 35 in 5th gear. Too limited. Eats fuel like crazy. Although, I have been getting 5/6mph better since I put the fairing on.

Yeah, it was sour all right. LOL
The one I owned had a major problem with getting wet and frying the wiring. Overall, I put about $600 into wiring, wiring and finally totally replacing the wiring complete. Then coating each and every connection so it would not be subject to water.
I blew fuses, melted wires,... it was just a total fricken nightmare.

After draining it, put the drain plug back in and open the fill hole above it. Add till it starts to overflow out of the hole. Plug the hole and you're good to go.
