When testing cdi's for stock I came across one the would not kill the engine . It ran just fine .

JR , I skyped with Jason this morning his tail light is at full illumination all the time . The electric start will only engage with a brake application and no change at the tail light area . We figured out the big plug going to the tail section in the tail section is a good place to start . What it is exactly at this time is unknown . Jason with his dad will dig in and figure it out and I'm sure they will post what they find , maybe a picture too .

unplug the regulator , if the head lights go out its the regulator .

In his defense I have swapped parts to another scoot for diagnostic purposes to see if that finds the problem. You may have jumped the gun leaving with it so soon. I try my best to see the good in people , twowheeler has a point here , however we were not there you were . John |

ok get a spray bottle , put the carb back on squrt some premix in the intake side and kick it see what you get . Are you getting spark ?
