I have a 150cc I doubt I'm getting much more than 50 mpg , the Vespa fuel injected 250 is doing about 65 mpg .

Hey Alley, is that easier than Photobucket? Maybe we should start recommending that one instead. PB has gotten kinda hinky..says the Great Stinky. Gaahd...kill me. since the v5 change , on a mobile device I can not enlarge the screen and the tiny pic does not link back . Tiny pic is very hard to see on a mobile device . Photobucket will link you back to the photo bucket and you can enlarge the pictures . John

I had a scooter in the shop with a charging problem , it was not charging . I figured out it was the regulator I replaced the regulator . Then had the same problem then it started to charge . I found the headlight switch was shorting internally loading down the charging voltage . Very strange problem .

not to sound condescending , have you had any luck with continuity tests I explained what and how , also what they should be ? if your not getting any voltage from the stator then the stator is no good or the magneto has lost its magnetism ,if it did loose it magnetism then you would not be able to generate ignition voltage . Something is going on there !

are you taking the voltage readings at the stator plug with the connector disconnected and reading the female side of the connector with the engine running .
continuity is the symbol of the omega , that is done with everything deenergized and engine not running . When the meter selector switch is on the omega the reading will be infinite , when you put the two meter leads together it should read "0" . the pulse coil should be about 145 ohms yellow /blue , the red/black about 450 . the yellow about 1 1.5 and about the same for for the white .
