Found this deal on newegg.com I shop there all the time. Only problem, it ends on 3/28. If you want one you better hurry. Best deal I've seen yet on a new one. It is under Marketplace Spotlight. Hope I helped someone.

So not every time but a lot of times while I'm riding I'll let off the throttle and my scooter will backfire. Most of the time it isn't very loud but every once in a while it will scare me. Not like a car or anything, just sounds like I ran over something. I recently replaced my ignition coil with a better one and also upgraded my cdi. I don't know if maybe that was the cause. Also it seems like my scooter is idling fast. Not after it cools down only when I first start it. And I know it is supposed to do that but it just seems like now it does it more. The wheel seems to spin quicker and the scooter pulls a little if off the center stand (only when warming up). Other than that my scooter has 9200 miles and runs perfect. Well sometimes it can be tricky getting it started. If anybody can help that would be great. Thanks

You guys are right I really have no way of balancing the wheels. Well, I did see this stuff somewhere on line. It's tiny little plastic or rubber beads. Anyway, you install the tire and then you pour the beads in through the valve stem. After you remove the valve out of the stem. I don't know. That stuff prolly costs 30 bucks itself. I might take it somewhere. I'll definitely call around. I already bought the irons though Is balancing a big deal on a scooter?

Yeah I was thinking maybe it wasn't worth the hassle. Money is kinda tight right now tho. I remember changing bike tires when I was like 12 and 13. It was a hassle then too. I can see myself buying the tools and then getting so frustrated I just take the rim to the shop. The thing is why pay someone to do something you can do yourself? 15-30$ is A LOT of money to me. I think I'll watch the videos then make a decision.
@bashan we, as in the people that live here, pronounce it Lullvull. I've heard it pronounced in all kinds of different ways. They just pronounced it Lullavull on the local news. Really its Louis-Ville, after King Louie the 13th. We are a strange mix of People here. It's very friendly. Come visit us sometime. Bring your scooter. We are bike friendly city. From Mid April until the 1st Saturday in May we have Derby celebrations. It's awesome.

The Zombie in me wants to know how to take off front and rear tires and rims. Then remove those tires and install new ones. The Ninja in me is searching for a well performing set of tires that are easy on my wallet. Also the Ninja wants to do it with tools, not hands. I also need some valve stems for both. Does anybody know if this is possible? I need cheep tires 3.50-10. Kenda K413 22$ with 9$ shipping. New valve stems, then motion pro iron set. Someone help me with some tutorials, videos, anything. I need tires, soon. My rims are also junk.
Thank youu

Thanks for the warm welcome!!! I will post pictures as soon as the sun comes back up. I bought my scooter used. It has 3,000 miles on it. It starts right up and runs great. The person I bought it from had a couple thing fixed on it before she sold it to me. Complete variator set, belt drive (Gates PL20507), transmission cover gasket, clutch assembly, Belray EXL Mineral 4T oil, gear oil, start switch, and a headlight bulb. It was all done at a reputable scooter dealer here in Louisville where I live. Is there any other maintenance I should be worried about? New spark plug maybe? Air/fuel filter? I'm not sure where to start. I do know the shop probably checked everything but I just want to make sure. kz1000st Your right I don't want to screw up my engine. I just want my scooter to run at its peak performance. I love my scooter, it's awesome. I think this might turn into a lifelong love affair. Where can I get cheap but good tires? I think they're 10x3.5 I could be wrong tho. How do I know when to change the brake pads? They're pretty squeaky. Maybe I should make a new thread in the 50-100cc section. Sorry if I'm breaking any rules. Just let me know. I'm new, I'm new, I don't know what to do.

Hello everybody. I'm a new scooter owner and new to the Scooter Doc forum. I just wanted to introduce myself and let you guys know a little about me. I bought a 50cc Chinese scooter. It has a 139 QMB engine. It is probably the single most funniest thing I've ever purchased. I love it. I don't just use my scooter for fun though. My scooter is my main mode of transportation. I also take the bus. Public transit is less fun. It's also more expensive. ($1.75 a trip) I'm a working student so money is tight. If anybody has any newbie advice let me know, I could use it. I installed a new CDI with a new ignition coil. Already my scoot is quicker. It takes off faster and seems to move a little better. So I'm thinking some Dr Pully sliders, 5 gram, maybe? After that maybe a spring set. I want a BBK but like I said, it's my main mode of transport so I can't have it disabled for too long. Anyway just wanted to hi and if anybody has any advice I would appreciate it. Thanks.
