You nailed it on the head. I did it twice. The first time, I don't think I was paying attention and set them at .005 inches. It idled much better but wouldn't take the gas. I did it again at .05mm and that did the trick. It is also quite a bit peppier now. I have to say that the adjustment was easy and I like how easy it was to get the plastic off to gain access to the head cover. Thank you very much.

Okay.... this thing had been running great. I put my own oil in when new and changed it at 50 miles, or so. The gas is 91 octane and treated. Now, it cold starts fine. When it warms up (I guess the electric choke is kicking off), it barely idles or dies. If it is idling and you give it the gas, it dies. The petcock manifold thing (is this a vacuum operated fuel pump?) is getting plenty of gas to it. I have a spare so I swapped it out... no change. I put an NGK spark plug in (gapped to .025 in)... no change. Any ideas?

Sage advice from everyone. I've been riding it everywhere and I hadn't planned on that! I can't wait until they start importing Chinese airplanes!

Howdy folks. I'm new to scooters. I am something of a prepper. I always thought about one of those kits to motorize your bicycle. I thought it would be a great way to get around after TSHTF. Then, I stumbled upon a scooter ad. For a couple hundred more, I could get an entire scooter and not have to fool around with a conversion so I ordered a 49cc scooter. I really like it! Perhaps you could help me with a problem. I want to order some spares; however, I'm not sure exactly what I have. Under the kickstarter, on the engine is 1P39OMB. Directly underneath it is *B13101526*. Does this tell me any of the following information: short or long case; who the manufacturer is; displacement? Thanks in advance!
