hi im looking to upgrade my variator, rollers, and clutch on a 2005 majesty 400. sometimes the parts dealers don't specify a year so does it matter? if its 2004 or 2014 model?
overall ive been having a hard time pinning down exactly what I need.
which is a dr pulley hit clutch or comparable, a malossi or jcosta variator, and if I go with malossi variator I should get the dr pulley slider weights? and then just a standard new belt?
im hoping this will smooth and speed my pull away from the line. and eliminate the chatter. this thing has great top end.. but the lower end is just god-awful. my gutless vino125 could smoke it and that so annoying lol.
im open to any suggestions of course

thanks for the help guys I went for the majesty hehe.
feels like a tank compared to my vino, but it was a real sweet ride home spent a couple hours on the highway cruisin along. some storms were threatening to hit me but I lucked out and barely got sprinkled on
now I got 2 yamahas I can officially be a Yamaha collector. I saw a deal on a brand new vino to only 1100 like 100 miles on it. real tempting to get a match for my other one lol same color to.

oh yeah 3200 miles on that first aprilia, but looks perfect condition. wasn't sure about them never seen one but was lookin at it as its right in my price range lol.
the 200cc one looks pretty sweet, red and black.
however its clear up north like 400 miles away and I don't have access to a truck at the moment. id have to figure a way to get it hauled or ride it I guess
here was the link for the 200cc it might be worth riding back if I can get her down another 100 bucks or so lol

thanks again well maybe the best way to have a scooter is to get like 3 or 4 of them lol.
I got the vino125 other day and its been running great except sometimes I feel like its going to need valves done and maybe. starts a little hard and idles a bit poorly until after its been run awhile and im pretty sure its never had adjusting
very nice though no rattling or overly cheap pieces falling off... huge difference in overall quality
oh and the exhaust is definetly needing replacement a lot of rust down in the joints n stuff looks ready to come apart lol

good info ty =)
a new deal on the table would be a 2006 Yamaha Vino125 for 1200 dollars.
in good shape and a solid bike compared to others ive looked at. has 8900 miles but been very well maintained it seems.
feels sluggish compared to my china 150 but drives real nice otherwise. no rattles, and a for real headlight.

sorry to hear it she looks like a nice old girl. its really tough to go through.
few years ago i took one in she was old to. just lost her the other night. poor macey they went out to go to the bathroom before bedtime and she came back in and had a stroke or some kind.
it was super traumatic and the worst thing ive ever seen. ran to the vet but now i wish i had just ended her misery like she was beggin me to.
house feels empty now

hi well i got my bike into the shop ok, the tomos velo 150cc starting went from spotty to complety dead.
i learned how to kick it pretty good, but sometimes it would refuse to kick to. then i just had to jump the solenoid worst case scenario but that was getting harder to do to.
so anyways i got help and its being looked at but its gonna be awhile
in the meantime i got some others around i want to look at... and buy a spare bike this weekend. summer here in montana doesn't last long
so i was just wondering what people thoughts would be on some scooters
theres a... 2003 Honda elite ch 80cc $500. not sure on miles but sounded pretty good old man that never rode it. could be a reliable alternate bike but kinda nerdy looking. i don't need extra nerd points i got plenty enough lol.
2007 zhen 150cc, with 500 miles got her down to $650. nice shiney black one matches my current bike.
2005 Vento with 971 miles. $975 but i wouldn't pay that much just askin him about it workin on him lowering maybe. its a bit beat up from weather and snow exposure. not sure on the engine size yet, but he said it was $3500 new. don't know much about these except they are American scooters made in mexico. and now out of business.

hi again thanks for the ideas. im actually still looking for some tools to borrow lol I don't have any. hope to get out to my dads place and get a few things.
hmm well it will make the small click noise for a while, but wont be starting. so ill stop and turn the keys off and the kill switch and start all over. and then the next time it wont make the noise at all. so ill start all over again and then maybe it will get the click noise back.
sometime it starts making the click a little bit louder so I know its real close and I just gotta keep trying.
I tried with both brakes and just the rear or just the front. hard to say if it made any difference got it going again now with just the rear again. took it out for a ride and know ill wait a bit and see if it wants to start again lol.
soon as I get the tools ill be trying that solenoid and poking around inside.

just went out to check and first button push I heard the small noise like when it starts but it didn't, and then the second button push was dead silence. now its back in its extra-dead mode lol.
ill check the solenoid tomorrows for sure dark out already
