The gas station clerk's face always goes distorted whenever I ask for $1 in gas to fill up (well, give me more than 1/4 tank) my scooter. They always look out the window to see what is at the pump...anybody have any good stories about their scooters and gas stations?

Just to be a putz I always go in at 1/2 tank,,, I walk in and tell them fillerup then hand them a five,,,,, lol

If they haven't seen me before I always fill up about $1.30 - $2.00 and they always look LOL.

If I'm totally empty, I take about $15 to fill. 3.5 gallon tank. Still, they look at me and wonder what I'm driving because they're spending $50-$75 to fill up.

At one place I used to fill with my riva which always was less than a gal and some times I got less than a 1/2 they had a home made sign on all the pumps "no credit cards for less than a $3 purchase" I would just stuff my card in to the pump and get what ever it came to! Riva has a small tank and real poor miles per g. When I got my statement it might be for $1.58 or some small amount and never was any more added to it.

I used to work at a Chevron and never paid attention. I never noticed the guy who put a few buck of gas in a can and burned down a local landmark building. The cops seized the store video for evidence.

Good topic face plant I wait till im about empty and fill up if im real dry it cost 3.75 but usually 3.50 does the trick. The only thing I have had a clerk say to one of her fellow worker is this is your new ride. That's about it other than that looking out the window to see what riding. I have a friend that has a 50 and yes he gets 1 dollar worth of gas not sure if the y have a smaller tank.

Memories of my Honda 750 custom with it's 2 gallon tank. An attendant was surprised when I came in to pay. "Didn't hear you come in" he says. "How far do you get on 2 gallons"? I replied "Usually to the next station".

He didn't get it.

When I fired up the beast and rattled the windows. His eyes got wide and then he busted out laughing.

I think he then got it.

2 Gal. on a 750 is going to run out of gas a lot!

My scooter keeps getting me it needs filled up again. Rats it would be nice if they didn't run out of gas.

My electric moped has never ran out of gas.

But boy is she something to pedal with a dead battery.

Richard v I bet that that bike would be a chore to petal without electric what do you do plug it in the wall and your ready to go? I never saw a electric bicycle saw a gas bicycle yesterday a guy was pushing those are pretty neat.

Does the bike tell you how many miles you go? Also is it chain drive or belt drove how does it get the power to the rear wheel? Never saw one of those how do you like it?

yeah lol the lady at my station always wants to keep my change.. she says its not fair she has to push all these buttons and only make 3 dollars for it.
