Here you go: Stock gears on the 150 scoots are 13/40-- to get more speed you go up on the 13 gear and down on the 40 gear(JUST REMEMBER A BIGGER DRIVEN WHEEL WILL TURN A SMALLER SLAVE WHEEL MORE TIMES)example In my trike I put in 16/37 gears(OEM were 13/40) www.partsforscooters.com/Gear_set_gy6Just be careful and not slap in to tall of gearing if your motor is basically stock displacement if you do it will be a SLUG. Don't forget your rpms will also drop(IF YOUR MOTOR DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH POWER/TORQUE TO PULL THE GEARING)so you have to know what your doing and may need some CVT tuning to get some rpms back. The most I recommend on the gearing for a STOCK motor is 2up and 2down so if stock are 13/40 most put in is 15/38 gears. Alleyoop cool. i can just stick em in there by hand? Im up and running though but i have some squeaking like a mouse in a wheel. must be the new rings

So tall gears need special equipment for installation?

so my bbk is coming in today. do i have to break it in? Yes! Dino Oil for break in. More importantly than varying RPM's is varying engine load. The Rings will Seat in in 20 miles or so, and thats it. thanks whats dino oil? And dont i have to do like 30mph?

Great might as well go a little bigger on the displacement since your replacing the top end. More displacement is a little more power. Now the BBK will not give you much of any more top end but it will give you more low end power(TORQUE) which will get you to your current speeds faster(in less time). The extra power will be able to move the weight much faster. What was your top end speed before? And does the Scoot have a TACH and if so what RPMS does the tach read at WIDE OPEN THROTTLE. Knowing the rpms and speed it will help to determine what you can expect with some other changes. 99% of the chino 150cc scoots will only do 50-52 REAL MPH, the speedo may say more but the speedos are way off some over 20% off reading to high. SO if it says 60mph you may be doing a real 50mph etc.. Also if the scoot does not have a TACH I would suggest getting one. They are indispensable for tuning the motor and cvt to try and get the most out of the ride performance wise. Here is a good little tach that installs in 5 minutes. www.trailtech.net/digital-gauges/tto?cat=117Alleyoop Displacement? My top end it about 50 on level ground and 45 uphill. on level ground my rpm's are usually about 6000-6500 wot(honestly i cant recall if it is 6 or 7000 but it is never 7500.... i think). My speedometer is pretty accurate. I had my brother drive next to me in his car several times to verify readings. So is it variator and roller weight time? How do I get that top end the CHEAPEST way?

went for a test drive with half the amount of oil(all i had) and no filter. I didn't want to sully another filter so I left it off and took a short ride. results in the videos

well amidst the abundance of fml one seemingly good thing happened, i found an old air filter which in comparison to the current is beyond half way decent and its dry!

So there is oil all over the place again. I "blew" dried the air filter and went for a test ride and there is oil all over the place. not coming out of the valve breather because i cut that part of the hose off. is it the filter or is something else going on? the oil is all dripping down from the air box. no other leaks apparently. i took the air box off and cleaned it. it was full of oil and fuel. the clear tube filled right back up with oil and over flowed. i am sure the air filter is soaked with oil again. The snorkel going to the carb has no oil in it so obviously it isn't leaking from the egr. although the egr clamp isn't on properly. i doubt that has anything to do with it though. If it was coming from the cvt case hose into the air box id have to assume that it would also be leaking out of the cvt case since when i changed the belt last time i didn't put a new gasket on but that side is completely clean.all the oil is dripping from under the airbox down onto the engine so i say it is coming from the valve breather. My air filter is possibly still clogged could that cause it? what else could cause oil to go into the air box in excess?

Im assuming a clogged air filter will pull oil up to the air box. Correct?
is there a yes or no for this question? googling wont answer and my yahoo account has been comprimised
